SOHH and AHH were two of the first biggest hip-hop sites on the web. Both of these sites also had a huge forum following.

SOHH's forum had a lack of modern features and horrible server performance, and ownership didn't give a fuck.

So, two SOHH members got together, and then created the spin-off forum TheColi.

Same thing happening here, well sort of, ROFL.

I think AHH will be fine though. How many of us consistently go to AHH's frontpage anyway?

Directly, the IC probably hasn't made AHH a lot of money in years due to the lack of mobile ads.

If the preceding statements are true, then from a business owner perspective, with the possible threats of hacking and lawsuits stemming from member beefs/exposures, AHH without the IC sounds like a win to me.

Considering I have been lurking the IC since 2002, sucks to see it go...

They removed the ads not too long but they were plastered all over the IC, one every two posts at one point smh.

Been nomadically migrating from forum to forum since the late 90s. Was messing with AOL chat rooms before that. If the IC dies then I might just have to start talking to people in real life
