Yes.....

But, I'm not just going to keep repeating myself..

Along with my original statement when I was @'ed...

My point is that umar gets major publicity from controversy....

Maybe he wants to to fuel interest and funding...

Idk....

Creating a school is a drop in the bucket of water when confronted with the systematic oppression that he speaks of....

I know of several educational reformers that need support and are more directly active than Dr. Umar...

Cut it out!!

Umar's way is Umar's way. Stop trying to shit on what he has going on.

How about you provide links to where people can donate or support all of these great people you seem to know?

Who was wrong though? There is a difference between saying "Umar isn't a PhD" and "Umar's credibility is suspect, he needs to prove he's a PhD." Lots of people were arguing the latter. Was anyone really arguing the former?

I am tired of repeating myself to you....

Challenging his credentials was not shitting on him.....

I have moved on....

You can't read.....

And schools are more than just a one man effort....

It takes a team of dedicated professionals to pull this off....

and what controversy did he create or cause?

So we gonna act like the interracial marrage comments don't grab headlines and clicks????

And I am purposely leaving out his other (personal) controversial issues that grab headlines and articles/blogs.....

His comments on interracial marriage aren't the highlight of his discussions. Umar discusses a myriad of issues faced by the Black community which he most often correlates back to psychology. So, if anyone is acting it's you.

Before any of this interracial marriage talk it, was Umar degrees and his opinions on homosexuality which, he also addressed as a Dr. of Psychology. At this rate it doesn't matter if Umar is discussion wheat bread, someone will find a way for it to make headlines because, they don't agree with him or want proof of said, wheat bread.

All that shitty journalism and this thing was just a few clicks away?

And only 2 Ether reactions, huh?

SMH.

If only Umar's degrees were fake then we can continue this "credentials" angle. But now let's talk about how we were correct for asking about his degrees even though it's a moot point now.

You're confusing to me. I think you are sincere in your thoughtfulness on this matter, so I don't fault you for anything you say. However, if you understand that he correlates his arguments for how best to address black issues back to his understanding of psychology, why is it so hard for you to understand why many harp on his credentials when it comes to psychology. Again, I know there are haters who hate just to hate. We're not talking about them. We're talking about people who legitimately felt that before any thing Umar said could be taken seriously, he had to prove that he has the expertise to make the claims he makes.

It took them forever. Dude could have just taken a pic of the diploma though. I'm just glad the PHD debate is over. Now lets find that money.

His fans don't care about the money or what he does with it. A couple have openly admitted that. Glad the degree issue can be deaded but his stans won't ever see anything wrong with him not being able to account for what he's done with the money.

Bruh these dudes are so dishonest it's not cool. I read more then one post that took the what else is he lying about if, his degrees are fake. So, now that they are real you would think that logic would work in reverse. But I pulled these clown card long ago. They will find something. Anything.

No one is playing with you. If you can't see the difference between declaring that something isn't true and stating that you need to see proof that something is true, I don't know what to tell you. Those are not the same thing.

Y'all can't be this dumb when it comes to this. As if there is actually something wrong with wanting someone who is involving themselves in education to actually be educated on the shit they're talking about. What a horrible thing to ask of someone

The moral of the story should be lets stop tearing down Black Men and Women who are trying. We don't have to agree with them 100%. Lets always remember every Black Man and Woman who has acted 100% on the behalf of Blacks in America and around the globe have had their character and credibility attacked.

The bold is true, but let's also remember that every movement that has acted on behalf of blacks have had snakes that threatened to tear those movements apart. So yes, we shouldn't tear down black men and women who are trying to do good, but we also shouldn't bash people who seek accountability and credibility from those that are taking on influential positions in the community. This should be common sense and I don't see why people are still arguing about this. Asking Umar about credentials because you want to deflect from his message is fuck shit. Asking Umar about his credentials because they relate directly to the expertise that he uses to back his message is only natural. Stop acting like his critics only fall into the first category.

It's okay, you were wrong own it and move on.

I never really cared about the phd thing. My issue was his messages not making sense in a lot of situations and not being practical. That said He has had the off the wall stances then he had another video I happened to see which was a message to kids entering college age which made a lot of sense. I can tell when something doesn't make sense and does and that can come from the same person.

You're confusing yourself.

Those questioning Umar didn't and don't care about his credentials not yesterday or today. They don't agree with Umar point Blank period. Questioning his degrees was a diversionary tactic and a way to attempt discredit Umar's professional analysis. Those who don't or didn't take Umar serious in the past won't take him serious now.
