Nah...OverDoz and other independent artists have made some of the dopest videos.

Peep this,

This Video is one of the best I've seen...independent director also. The Group is signed now...but not at the time this video and some of their other videos were shot

This video cost no more than 10k

And this video cost well under 5k facts

You kinda proved my point.

The first video was somewhat low budget except for the helicopter shots. You can tell whoever made it used an expensive camera, but some of the shots were pointless and low budget. I'd give it a C+

The second video was much better and I'd wager that it cost more than 5K, not because there were special effects and a lot going on, rather, because it was simple yet perfect. All of the shots in the second video were perfect. Whoever directed that second video had an eye for photography. Also, the colors and make up were professionally done. I'd give it a B+

Both videos were better than the Young M.A. video but I still maintain that the Bone Crusher video was better than both of the videos you posted.

And neither video was as good as Michael Jackson's Billie Jean video. Billie Jean gets an A+

Billie Jean - Michael Jackson

This shit was dope.

Lol indie will always be on top due to the fact that the mainstream artists are slaves to contracts and dont fully own their own music. Not to mention quality wise i prefer Independent artists

Right...there aren't too many videos that consistently progresses throughout the entire video and takes the viewer on a ride like that. It was Vivid and exciting...that shit might be in my top 5 all time brah

That video was dope, but it wasn't cheap. It must have taken at least a week (five, eight hour days) to shoot all that footage. They used make up and color design. Now compare that to the Young M.A. video in my O/P.

Thats my point, the Young M.A. video looks so low budget that its pointless. Independent artists should stop shooting low budget videos and uploading them to Youtube. It cheapens the song and makes themselves look bad.

Them videos that was on bet uncut was amateur as fuck and still was the best videos ever. Which major labels videos did you stay up till 3am to watch? I rest my case

The second video was by a good friend of mine. He paid way less than 5k for it. Trust me. Which prove my point. People charge what they want, but if you have the know how and the equipment and can make a video that can get mtv jams ( Bet jam) play for under 2k.

He might have paid less than 5K to produce it but he probably charged the artist >5K. And if he didn't he should have. That second video is worth 10-15K imo.

Are you guys playing dumb or do you agree with me? Bigger budget videos are just better than low budget videos.

A professionally made video with professional lighting and set design, color coordination, special effects, etc. will stand the test of time. Those low budget videos with just a camcorder and a rapper standing in front of the projects with his homies is corny. Anybody on the IC could make a low budget video and upload it and thats what people are doing nowadays. Its been going on for about a decade now, maybe longer.

When I check for videos on Youtube I notice the difference. There's a lot of videos that are clear because they used a high budget camera, but the composition of the shots, the colors, the background and all of the details are lacking.

I think an independent artist should make the biggest budget video he can afford, not the cheapest video he can possibly make.

I could give 0 fucks about video quality making or breaking a song.

Everybody think differently and some ppl do appreciate that shit so I get it. Like ppl who are movie buffs and appreciate all that cinematic shit. I ain't knocking it but I don't get off on it. I'll see that it's dope but, okay it was dope, and.....

I rather get more money and less fame with lower video quality than opposite.
