To be the best you sometimes have to beat the best, and last season one of the reasons the Falcons were one of the best teams in the NFL is because they frequently faced Pro Bowl quarterbacks, and won.

Last season, the Falcons faced 11 such QBs, including two games each against NFC South rivals Drew Brees and Cam Newton. They were 11-2 against the Pro Bowl quarterbacks and were just one of only two teams to face that many quarterbacks with Pro Bowl honors. The Saints were the other and against that competition they were 5-8.

Cam didn't make the pro bowl last season. Unless he is counting the pro bowlers from the 2011 season. But I'm not lurking in this thread so it's whatever

I'm more excited for this season than I was last year. There's so much competition going on in training camp and we get to kick the season off against the Aints.

The best way to start off a season is against a scrub and that's exactly what we got

I'm just glad that we ain't playin' the Aint's twice in 2 and a half weeks or some shit like last year.

All rival games should be spaced out. One in each half of the season.

Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff told @RossTuckerNFL & Scott Pioli that they have moved on from Richard Seymour talks and r comfortable w that

I'm cool wit it too. You never know what happens in training camp, and I don't even wanna say the "i" word, but if it happens, we'll need some paper to sign a vet replacement -- Or we might just play a couple preseason games and realize we need more depth somewhere that isn't obvious right now.

Get Matty his money, and keep them stax on deck for a rainy day.

Smh @ hosting a party when you might not even be employed in a month...

Nan one of them nikkas are locks to make the final 53. Smh. Franks stay embarrassing OU and Tawlsa. Oh well. At least he ain't from the Northside...

..GYOT DAAMMMN. Must be TWO sides! lol

Abe need to stop bullshittin and come on back for about 3 millie.

I feel what he was saying about they cut him -- he didn't leave, but damn. He knows its a business. Just come on back, get out of your feelings, and come and rush off the edge about 40 times a game (which is all he's good for) get about 8-10 sacks and make a few mill and maybe even win a ring in the process.

That's a win, win, win situation.

Smh.

Lol, Frank' brother kewl as hell though. I might hit that nigga up and see whats up with this party. I know the hoes will be on deck.

As far as Seymour is concerned, I cant lie and say I didnt want him on the team. From what i'm hearing, they're asking Mathews and another DE to gain some weight so that they can play a lil DT. Between them and Babs playing DE, I noticed a pattern that they're cross training the D-line just like they do the O-line. That extra 6 million needs to be spent somewhere though. Otherwise we could've kept Abraham. Hopefully they at least sign some backups at LB and/or DT. They need to go ahead and sign Trufant too so they can focus on Matt's contract.

Yeah, I fuxx with Franks. He made a turrible decision to come out early from Oklahoma and he's been underachieving ever since.

I did read that he got a couple interceptions during the OTA's so maybe he's finally lookin' like the DB he could've been.

That safety move is a good look for him. And I don't know what the fuck happened to his kick return skills, dude was a beast at OU with the KR/PR's.

Now he look like he's surprised every time he catches a punt or a kick, like he didn't know thats what he was out there for. lol

I'm low-key rooting for'em tho, just like every Sooner.

Shit I'd throw a party every weekend until they cut me if I wasn't guaranteed to make the team.

Party hosted by Free Agent Dominique Franks don't bring as many hoes out lol

The crazy thing is since OTA's and mini camp started I haven't heard any news on Franks' development or anything.

Charles Mitchell only had one tackle last year and that was at the end of the season against the Bucs. This nigga must forgot we drafted a safety this year. I'm all for partying, but if I'm not a lock to make the team, I'll be damn if my face on a party flyer. I'm showing the coach I live in the gym.

Drafted TWO safeties. And I heard Zeke Motta is looking solid in camp.
