If we cut Nich, we better use that money to pay Seymour whatever the fuck he wants AND get another edge rusher or DT.

A D-line is to a LB what a O-line is to a QB or RB.

Even the best LB's can't do much if their D-line is wack. Think of any elite MLB in the league past or present, and I bet you there was an equally elite D-line in front of him.

Yeah, Nich ain't no spring chicken. He is what he is. A classic, solid downhill run stuffing MLB. Ask him to do anything else and you're in trouble.

I love his fire and attitude, and if money was a non-issue I would definitely keep him without question. But if he's the only thing standing in the way of us getting better on the D-line, then deuces.

3 things I'm looking for tonight

1. Lamar Holmes hopefully improving from the first game

2. Dom Davis with the 2nd unit

3. How the backup LB and DB units perform

I keep hearing totally different assessments of Lamar Holmes. Some say it's pure struggle, others say he's holding it down.

To me he looks solid in pass blocking. He looks like a turnstile on runblocking.

I know bacukup QB is important, but I can't gather enough fucks to give about Dom Davis. He looked like he didn't even want it last game. I hope Renfree or even Doege steps up.

Smitty said some of the players that played on the 3rd team will play early tonight, and I'm pretty sure that means Banks will get some 2nd team burn.

I really don't wanna see Worrilow jumpin on pile-ons 10 yards down the field again.

I also don't wanna see Julio playing more than 2 series. If our first team scores within the first two series, we should bench the offensive starters.

Overall, I gotta give us a B+ for our first and 2nd teamers. (no fux given about the cut-team nikkas, smh.)

- Matt is ready. Ravens tried hard as fuck to rattle him and he just kept dumpin.

- Julio is ready. Not even 100% but he looked like he was killin' them half-sleep.

- O-LINE! I guess them bois got tired of gettin shitted on for damn near a month straight. Went up against two of the best front 7s in the league the last couple weeks, and overall, they held their own.

- JAX!!! He decided he was gon' remind nikkas who he is today. I think his best games this year will be against our best opponents n the biggest games. He just has a different gear against top teams -- I noticed that when he was in St. Louis too.

- Dom & Drew Davis looked solid tonight. Davis might have that 4th receiver spot locked up.

Much better performance overall than last week.

I'm still not big on starters playing too much. I wouldn't be mad if they just played the first half next week even though they usually play 3 qtrs in the third game.

I dont like jackson's lil "gidde up step". He gotta hit the hole harder and run thru a arm tackle if needed.

Holmes looked bad, but thats dumervil.

Weatherspoon and tony g gotta get out there.

I hope roddy alright.

why did cone come in and not davis when roddy sat down?

Overall good game for those who will make the roster. Plus I see the defense still getting turnovers and rattling running quarterbacks.

I don't think Holmes looked that bad other than 1 or 2 plays.

Jax looked more comfortable but it's still preseason. Week 1 is you'll see Jax running through niggas.

Drew Davis looks like a good 4th Wr. Cone and Johnson probably get the last 2 spots at receiver

Out of all the Niggas that returned punts Alford looked the best.

Really like the stable of RBs even though one or two niggas will get cut I won't be surprised if they make another squad.

Don't really have to say much about Matty Ice cause we all know what to expect.

The run defense was great to see. Dent was coming up making tackles and Bab and Peters look like they tired of people bringing up Seymour

Overall I give it a B+ there's still a lot of niggas that should be girls JV basketball coaches right now on the roster

Dumervil was killing duke on passing plays. I want to see James Rodgers get a chance to return. I dont know the numbers but when i saw them he was the fastest and quickest guy on the field.

With the depth we have at RB right now, I'm cool with Jax not playing at all for the rest of the preseason.

Yesterday kinda had that "3rd preseason game" feel to it, so I don't really see the point in playing all the starters next week.

And lol @ that Jimmy Smith cat. Dude got abused by Julio several times and then Kevin Cone ate his lunch. And he's supposed to be a "premier corner in the league" according to that wack commentating team the Ravens had.

NFL.COM article about Jackson and our run game...

Forget the final score. The Atlanta Falcons came away from Thursday's 27-23 loss to the Baltimore Ravens encouraged with their progress on the ground.

One week after running back Steven Jackson sputtered for just eight yards on five carries against the Cincinnati Bengals, he came to life against Baltimore's defense, galloping for 42 yards on eight attempts.

"Having success tonight is great for our confidence," Jackson said after the game, per the Falcons' official website. "We feel we have the potential to run the ball well every week. The key is to keep getting better. Every preseason game presents a different challenge and a chance to improve."

Lamar will come along fine eventually. I remember when Clabo was lookin' shaky. And Lamar has a better skillset than Clabo (that's why he was a 3rd rounder and Clabo was undrafted.)

Matt needs about 2 seconds after the snap in shotgun and about 3 seconds from under center. That's it.

My biggest concern is run-blocking. That second drive was a perfect example of what this offense can do when the run game is popping.

If our run blocking and running overall was just a yard-per-carry better last year, we would've lost 2 games tops and won the Super Bowl. No question about it.

Rejoining team this Sunday. Will play next saturday against the Titans. I'm glad Shawty Lo and Coffman will get a solid two weeks with him in camp.

Cool. Only starters that need to play in this preseason is the right side of our O-line, Harry Douglas, and both rookie CB's.

It wouldn't bother me one bit if we had 8 random ass nikkas from southwest Atlanta starting in the next 2 preseason games.

My iphone wallpaper now...

Been adding a schedule graphic to my wallpaper for the last few seasons. This is the coldest one I could find this year.

Off Topic: Deshaun Watson on the Elite 11 on Espn is the QB for my high school (Jr.). He broke the GA record for passing yards in the state championship game last year. He going to Clemson and was not recruited by UGA. FSU wanted him though.
