These ppl saying go listen to Common and Lupe must think that we are dumb.

How TF would a few counterexamples show that hip hop -- as a whole -- is not misogynistic?

whole

All it takes is ONE counter example to render your argument false. We can bring thousands to the table.

Got what she needed outta the culture then tossed it to the side. Got to stop allowing these folk to vulture, especially when it's obvious what their intentions are.

IMO if someone doesn't go through it's all about the elements Hip Hop stage is just a faze and they truly don't love it.

I saw this tweet posted in the Kendrick DAMN. thread and I chuckled...

I feel and think most women lowkey like misogyny directed towards them (privately) but wanna be down with the feminist crowd and their ideology ... just when it suits them

Is (some) rap music sexist and misogynistic towards women? Yeah most of the time but the music that celebrates women doesn't get burn on the radio like that but I digress...

like that tweet above some or most women would shake their asses to songs depicting them in an unsavoury manner with no fucks given and you got cats in here caping. LOL

And finally feminism in the modern era has to be the biggest con ever. A man who was heard encouraging his friend to just 'grab women by the pussy' was elected as President of the United States

... by a large majority of women

At some point people gotta be truthful and honest about whats what... This society is misogynistic.. The influential fast food rappers unfortunately drive whats being spread and well.. you already know what it is...But these irrational chicks on the other side are really doing a disservice to themselves with all the fuckery they are promoting as well.

To keep this short you can't have it both ways and say .. our image is distorted and they primarily show us in a negative light. WHICH IS TRUE and then say.. That the music that consumed on the daily by the masses isnt a reflection of the same shit.. Then people lazily say its someone else; and also say"Its just entertainment" you wouldnt accept that in the aforementioned example. From the way our youth culture talk, walk, dress, think is reinforced by what they see out in the culture. Also people dont really understand context.. ... (see the words they use and how they use them out of context as the chief example)

This is a problem that manifest as they consume, digest/regurgitate the shit they see and here... Look around and see for yourself..."Its lit" :s

She did a song with Juicy J though. If she was so progressive why didn't she hop on a Lupe, Talib, Lecrae, Roots record? This has the fingerprints of someone denigrating hip hop for mass appeal (R.I.P. Guru).

53 percent of white female voters voted for trump... No other race of women voted for trump in large numbers

White women and feminism arent one and the same. Not to mention a large percentage of Americans who didnt vote

And because some women would shake their asses to songs depicting them in an unsavoury manner we shouldnt care what may come of the young consumers or how the music perpetuates misogyny?

This is something the IC can't understand.

If the whole world was just black people, there would still be feminism.

Women would want to be treated like equals if they were all black.

a lot of it is misogynistic though but so what? Its one of the last musical outlets where an artist can say whatever the fuck they want. They've been attacking hip hop for decades for this very reason. Too many are getting their feelings hurt that she used it and bounced but that's what these pop acts do. They ride the wave whether its dance or trap music.

This is why I support the younger acts. They put out a lot of garbage but they're saying what they want and the younger generation love it because all they hear from the media is "don't say this and don't say that".

Most men don't wanna be seen as ignorant thugs but want to be perceived as capable of being about that life when necessary.

Most Women dont wanna be objectified by guys they don't like, but wanting to be seen seen as sexy by guys they do like.

And the world keeps spinning round and round

I've already shown this in the past... actually fairly recently but...
https://www.amazon.com/White-Womens-Rights-Origins-Feminism/dp/0195124669
http://www.racismreview.com/blog/2014/02/18/trouble-with-white-feminism/

Here's some reading for you. The article also references several other books y'all need to finish before y'all touch a keyboard on this subject.

When you both learn and understand the origin of feminism, you'll understand that women of color are a very recent inclusion and they're only a part of the larger feminism movement because honkies needed larger numbers. Women of color are nothing more than pawns in the white woman's "struggle".

I don't know why y'all thought she was going to be on the twerk team forever.

Wtf does that mean? U saying adults cant listen to and create rap? There's an age limit?

It really is a age limit in rap though.

As far as artist

Some of the best rap artists right now are in their 30s. I do think if you still rapping in your 40s about that same shit you rapped about in your 30s and 20s you should probably stop (ie: Jay-Z, Jadakiss).
