"But most of y'all sharing bars like you got the bottom bunk of two man cell"

Too many people sounding the same. Future, Migos, Fetty Wap, Dej Loaf, Rich Home, etc.

I thought that " my way" song was future when I first heard

I thought Rich Homie was Future on "My Nigga".

These niggas sales ain't adding up because why would I by a Future album when I can download a mixtape featuring K-Camp or Rich Home for free? Shit all sounds the same when "banging in the whip".

My argument is, there are no numbers here to support radio constantly force feeding niggas this wack shit. Its absolutely ridiculous.

You mean to tell me niggas like Joey Bada$$ is out here outselling Migos 5 to 1, beating Rae Sremmurd as well first week with all their commercial exposure from Hot and every other radio station in the country; every dingy ass club... and the young nigga can't get some spins on primetime? Where is the validation for this? Future out here dominating airwaves and clubs as we speak with about 3 joints floating around, but another nigga has outsold him by a factor of 70% and isn't getting that burn.

If Migos couldn't make those numbers, then there is no way in hell Rich Homie is going to breach, and Young Thug also pretty much flopped first week (18k). But I can't turn on the fuckin radio without these niggas floodin' my shit. Why dawg? There are other niggas who are selling more, and touring just as much with large crowds. The numbers seem to imply that nobody wants to hear that shallow shit. Or at the very least, imply that they want to hear the other niggas more.

a lot of people wanna hear shallow shit, they just don't wanna pay for it. the music you pay for is the music you're actually gonna be listening to outside of the club/parties/radio on your own time. i wouldn't pay for a migos album, but i respect their place in hip hop. strippers are not about to gyrate their asses to some boombap song about racial inequality, but some of them might chill at the house, and listen to erykah badu on their days off... it's a time and place for everything.

Radio playlists are sponsored by corporations and they try to force what's popular. That's why you hear the same songs all day and no one cares to buy the album.

That's not the issue, but I'll refrain from beating a dead horse.

That don't explain why these nig nogs are still in heavy rotation on the radio, fam.

It looks like Joey Bad's fans are putting up the dollas, so why isn't the radio catering to them instead of these nigga's with throwaway singles?

And fuck the strippers, daaawg. Fuck that entire scene. On God.

I'd say stick to your base. Migo's are basically a local group in atlanta that got a little shine with "Versace". I love "Fight Night" while I'm at the club but alot of niggas never heard it. If there was a way to target strip clubs and give them exclusive songs, I'm sure niggas could eat well off of it. Looking for album sales as a way to eat isn't the move anymore unless u have name recognition and a solid fan base. By the way, listening to migos outside of a strip club/lounge or when working out is torture. I'd never get a full album of that shit

Their sales are low bc they waited too long to release. Bad timing I wonder why they didnt release earlier when their buzz was bigger.

that's a bullshit excuse for an album flopping. Maybe they get a few thousand more when "buzz" was higher but if you don't have a consistent fanbase and or you don't have a above average product your album won't sell high regardless of current buzz.

Lol I've said this time and time again TRAP RAP DOESNT SELL when u drop a album u selling to the masses

An we know damn well black folks ain't buying that shit especially in this climate

Hell I got YRN album for free when I downloaded it off sharebeast

a lot of us live in a bubble. if you're in the hood all the time, hang out with hip hop heads, frequent hip hop clubs and post on the ic all day, it's easy to lose track of what is actually doing numbers on the charts, and what's just popping in the streets. migos is not actually that famous outside of hip hop. most white people would have a hard time trying to name 4 of their songs, or any one of their projects. to them, migos = background music at the club... hell i know people that heard versace and thought "who the heck are these people messing up drake's song?"

doesn't matter how many niggas slap something in the wip, or at whatever spots you happen to frequent. if mainstream america isn't listening to an album, it's not gonna sell, period. i've never heard a one direction song in my life, and neither have 90% of the people i hang out with, but they're going platinum plus in like, 5 different countries every time they drop. that's why i laugh anytime somebody says "nobody listen to (insert artist) in the hood" as if their hood = the music industry as a whole.

but according to cats "atlanta running hip hop" or "atlanta running atl radio". After low sales for a lyrical rapper niggas saying "nobody wants that boring shit". But now migos sold andre 12k and niggas making excuses.

nobody expecting migos to go triple plat first week. But 12k my nigga? thats sad as fuck for migos.

honestly aint expect that much more from migos, buzz aint what it was, no hit singles, not on a major label(correct me if im wrong technically) plus they aint never did shit on the charts b4, just hot in the streets and clubs, niggas dont really buy that. and yes a lot of the main fans of niggas like them or young thug be the main niggas who laugh at me when i mention big krit and say "krit dont bring the hoes out" so yea i see where yall coming from.

with all that said it is a place for them (just not on the charts lol) and cats like future, imo them two the only ones making quality trap music.
