How? when pac lived the majority of his life on the eastcoast n ny... Pac didn't move to Cali til like 88-89 so makaveli was bicoastal if anything

Big said he wanted ready to die to sound like a movie because of the chronic. I think puff an them took that formula and found their niche in R&B instead of those funk records that dre had been using since the 80s.

What do u mean it doesn't make sense? It makes perfect sense pac was the only rapper of his kind @ the time that could rep both coast s n 96 that's y deathrow east was gonna take over the east but makaveli died...

Yeah this should be common knowledge, most of the east coast cats in the early 90's were still using jazz and James Brown samples, while the west coast was sampling Sly and the family stone, P funk, prince, The Isley bros, Earth, wind and fire, Ohio players, etc, and their shit was killin. Puff and Big saw that formula and used it to the T. Of course it had an east coast flavor to it, but the g funk /west coast influence was obviously there.

Wasnt a biggie fan, but im not surprised.

TBH, new york invented it, but west coast rap has the best catalog of music out of all regions.
