"LAD" does not "SHIT" on "RTD" are you serious? They both have their share of Epic Tracks and are actually pretty even with each other:

RTD - The What

"RTD" brought the East Back and is more cohesive than "LAD" which has about 3 filler tracks that bring it down (Another, Nasty Boy, Playa Hater). The only tracks not up to par on "RTD" is "Friend of Mine" and that's it the rest is pretty much flawless. Both Classic Masterpieces and Biggie was the most polished better emcee on "LAD" but "RTD" was just that raw pure uncut Hip Hop. "RTD" holds it own against the Golden Era Classics of the 80's which proves it's staying power. "LAD" holds it's own with all the modern day Classics. I give Big credit for being one of the few artist to drop Back to Back Classics.
