I find it funny that 50 pages ago, people went IN on Lup....until this shit came out, and he had to remind nig-nogs what this new shit IS.

Funny thing is, I don't even think he was TRYING.....

The people behind the money behind hip hop love weak lyrics and average beats.

WHY do you think that is though? Because theres a LARGE group of FANS that like that shit.

Black people keep doing that shit always blaming other people. I'm black too btw. They put money behind anything they can make money off - they're a BUSINESS/CORPORATION.

You a Biggie boy, people said the same about Biggie. Why did Biggie have more fans than a Wu-Tang, Nas etc? Cuz him & Puffy made music that were of the time (funk samples, smooth flows, thuggish raps etc. that was the thing at the time) & it worked. Thats always how its been.

Rakim wasnt as popular compared to many MCs that were wacker than him.

Same thing with these naggin bitches complaining about reality TV making black &/or women look bad yet Love & hip-hop has THE highest ratings of any show at the moment..so somebody is watching it.

But of course its never the peoples fault. Always someone elses fault. I know youre gonna aruge til death about the greatness of Biggie but facts are facts, im a fan so its not even a diss.

If niggas can't see the difference in Lupe shit and Kendrick verse and understand there is levels to this shit man,idk bruh.. This shit clear as day to me.. Nobody really talkin bout k dots verse but the fact he called niggas out.. U gotta put that Lupe shit on repeat and just let it play til u let it all sink in

He ain't say shit that I had to repeat for it to sink in...The first time i played it nothin went over my head...Y'all niggas just wanna be more impressed by complexity than emotion...

the whole point is this...if you're crowned the top rapper of the current crop, and everyone's critique is that the current crop sucks....then he's going to challenge that crop to be better as a whole so his reign won't have stipulations....

he's doing what a leader is supposed to do... challenge everyone around you to be better....

But you can put all the lipstick in the world on a pig...its still a pig.

Honestly there's nothing Wale, J. Cole, and Krit are NOT doing. They're representing as much as they can for this era...they're exhausting their pen game...They just not it! Lol Challenge or no challenge nobody can MAKE a ngga more talented/deep/inspiring than he is...maybe for a song or two, not long term

Is Big Sean gonna come out of this a brand new rapper? Mac Miller? Meek Mill?

Big K.R.I.T. spoke with HipHopDX about his reaction to the verse, explaining how it connects with Hip Hop history.

“Rap, Hip Hop has always been mad competitive,” K.R.I.T. said Tuesday. “It's exciting because it was probably crazier for his fans, for him to mention my name among rappers that people would consider top tier, [rappers] people kind of look at as being the future and my name just randomly popped up. So what I got an opportunity to see a little bit last night and this morning, was just people that probably never tweeted me before, whether it be negative or positive. For me, it was like, ‘Thank you for the promotion.’"

Kendrick Lamar's verse may introduce new fans to K.R.I.T. who were previously unaware of his skills as a lyricist, he said.

“It let people know that, ‘Yeah, I'm from the South and yeah, I'm country but you ain’t going to take me lightly," K.R.I.T. said. "Aint none of these rappers going to take me lightly on a record.’ And [Kendrick Lamar] know that. So that's why my name ended up on that list. If you think about ‘1 Train,’ or any record, I’ma give my all. People know that I'm a lyricist and I can compete with some of the best and it is what is. I appreciate the shout out because that’s really what it is. It’s a competitive sport; it’s a gladiator sport. Don't nobody want to get murdered on a record. That just it is what is. So I don’t know, brother. I was like, ‘Hell yeah.’ It is what it is. Thank you for the shout out and shout out to all the fans that he may have that didn't know about my music and now they gon’ go back and listen to records and check out1 Train,’ and want to know why he felt the need to mention my name. And I’m 100% sure he probably gets tired of going to barbershops and hearing my name mentioned where he is and vice-versa. It's all good man. It's all within the sport.”

Joe budden and pusha t...the only nggas I want to hear w/ a rebuttal

The rest? On the low Drake is more built for this than yall's saviors Krit, j cole, wale, etc...But make no mistake...none of the new guys have 'it'. You can almost read the accompanying 'this is just rap it aint no beef' interview that will follow. ...fuk these overrespecrful nggas. They all soft.

So they supposed to beef with a nigga who made it clear the verse wasn't meant as some "let's beef" shit?

Uh, yes ngga. Yes. Thats pretty much exactly what I'm saying.

By 'beef' i mean just go in lyrically...like your prepared to make this ngga mad and never talk to em again...no caveats...no explanations...no 'its all love, thats my brother, its compettion, blah blah blah'. Like you prepared to not fuk with NONE of these nggas

These new nggas wana be part of EVERY circle. TDEMMGOVO foh Lol

Its moments like this where i appreciate 50. Where all the lone wolfs at? Where all the anti-social rappers

Hence why i said: Give me Budden and Pusha and no one else. Thye will make this shyt UNCOMFORTABLE.

You see where 50 being anti-social has gotten his music career right? No release date in sight for how many years now? Like me and others keep saying, you can be competitive as you want w/o being disrespectful. You talking about Budden when Budden is part of Slaughter House which is what again? Oh yeah a group of solo rappers with careers already who came together to form a group. Pusha who not only been part of a group his whole career minus the past 2 years but also joined up with Good Music instead of doing something independent for his solo stuff. You picked the two rappers who represent what you say you hate.

@ bolded: Nggas, boy i tell you. Do we really wanna use 50 cent as an example of how NOT to win in the rap game? Lol

Lets not use a 3 year snapshot to undercut a 10+ yr career.

@ undrlined- Yea, you keep thinkin that. You think Nas got to a level of Ether b/c of his respect for Jay z? Pressure makes diamonds (no pun). Exactly how hard do u think a ngga gon go at somebody he goin to lunch with the next day?

Same thing is goin on in the NBA! All the teams that have given Lebron problems have grown to literally dislike this ngga (Pacers, Celtics, Mavs)

Meanwhile Kevin "I'm tired of being 2nd place" Durant is workin out with Lebron all summer, wonderin why he cant pass him...

I digress, but i trust u get the point.

Michael Jordan and Charles Oakley would have dinner the night before Bulls vs Knicks games and are still best friends til this day. Didn't stop Oakley from trying to take MJ's head off on the court along with every other member of the Bulls. Zeke and Magic were damn near brothers, didn't stop them from going at 100%. As far as 50, you can use his whole career to see where that lone wolf shit got him and what NOT to do if you want actual longevity when it comes to your music. Not only did it make others not want to work with him or his label, the shit has turned niggas who actually came in with him against him. Look at the shit he pops now about Banks and Yayo. How many other NY rappers, rappers you say are from your golden era, have said that 50's constant beefing was bad for NY and part of the reason it's in the state it's in now musically? More than a few. All that does is get you a quick rise and an even quicker fall which is exactly what happened to 50. Last buzz he had for an album was based off beefing with Kanye. That was back in 07. Before I Self Destruct had no buzz at all and he been getting shelved ever since then.

I don’t think anybody debating that lupe can spit or that this joint was killer, no doubting that but was it a reply? Nah, no way; We all can dig in the crates and pull out some killer joints from some dope emcees but dudes are looking for a real reply. If a dude say ur name on a record and u reply without mention of this dude, is that real?
