JD didn't even produce the bulk of Confessions or The Emancipation of Mimi. Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis did just as many songs on Confessions as JD. Out of the 17 songs on the standard verion of Confessions, he only did 4 songs (around the same amount as Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis who don't get enough credit for what they've done for Usher). On The Emancipation of Mimi, he only had 4 of the 14 songs on the standard and 6 of the 18 on the re-release. Yes, he produced some of the biggest records on both albums, but we're comparing JD's successful singles to Timbo, The Neptunes, and Dr. Dre's fully produced successful albums by citing those two albums.
