What's up with Billboard shitting on this album so much? That Samsung deal rubbed somebody the wrong way.

They always talk about his ownership of the nets, his Samsung deal, him venturing and doing business with athletes. There's a lot of insecure jealous music reviewers out there when it comes to jay-z .

Oh, so only when it's Jay-Z? Not other artists? Okay, nice logic there.

That's the nature of the business. Just like all the people dickriding everything he does cuz of his industry power & money right? Did you mentioned that too or nah?

Nigga you should read the music reviews on MCHG its more about his money and his business ventures then them reviewing the album shit more like a review of jay-z business portfolio if anything else.

I'm gonna post the whole comment:

I’m offended by that because first of all, and this is going to sound arrogant, but my presence is charity. Just who I am. Just like Obama’s is. Obama provides hope. Whether he does anything, the hope that he provides for a nation, and outside of America is enough. Just being who he is. You’re the first black president. If he speaks on any issue or anything he should be left alone…I felt Belafonte he just went about it wrong. Like the way he did it in the media, and then he big’d up Bruce Springsteen or somebody. And it was like, “whoa,” you just sent the wrong message all the way around…Bruce Springsteen is a great guy. You’re this Civil Rights activist and you just big’d up the white guy against me in the white media. And I’m not saying that in a racial way. I’m just saying what it is. The fact of what it was. And that was just the wrong way to go about it.

jay could possibly have a valid argument, but at the same time he's so vague with his. It would have been better if he said "my arrogance is charity"..smh.

I guess Jay didn't like the fact that Belafonte called Bruce Springsteen "a Black man".

he explained that later in the interview

rags to riches stories sound cliche af but for every individual who lived it there's thousands whose position didnt change

but the shit is possible. you dont need to become a millionaire but you can be something in life even coming from a shitty environment

his story should inspire and deliver hope just as much as any donation he can give out

i get that but i also understand why people feel differently

True. That's the fuel that gives these Witnesses the drive they need everyday.

Finally heard this a few times in full. Pretty good album, better than some other recent Hov albums. (although Watch the Throne >> MCHG). Jay not really saying anything new on most songs, but the wordplay is there ("instagram", "cane/able") and there's a couple deeper tracks.

Holy Grail, F*Ckwithmeyouknowigotit, BBC, Oceans >>>

BBC is definitely a different Jay/Nas collab than we've heard before. Dope to me though.

Between the new Cole, Kanye, and Jay and I can put together about 1 albums worth of dope songs to get me through the summer. Only a handful of keepers from each album, but MCHG may be the best.

"My arrogance is charity"?? that isnt even coherent, I have no clue what that means, so no, it would NOT have better if he said that

I understand exactly what he said, the way he said
