I don't even have it in rotation right now, it is the rotation. Been bumping it non stop since Tuesday. It's a classic to me.

C/S the bolded to the fullest! Even when I'm not listening, I'm thinking bout listening it...LIFE IS GOOD!

edit: like others said you can't truly call something a classic until it stands the test of time; a classic is time referenced

you can call it a classic. i wondering why in the fuck you jigga warriors talking about let it breathe when yall was squirting more than jada fire last summer when wtt leaked. that shit wasnt even fresh on the net for 30 minutes when most of yall niggas was up there calling it a classic and talking about its the first best album of the decade. niggas did the same shit with that weak ass cruel summer album. you go in that thread and motherfuckers is calling it a classic left and right. jigga warriors namely doing so. you gotta remember this is a nas album. this album goes beyond compherension of niggas who let their GOAT call them dumb for listening to his music. your self esteem gotta be far gone if you a fan of a rapper who constantly tells you that you aint shit because you havent sold your soul. Nas music is for niggas who grow in real life. not delusional niggas who use a 48 year old homo rapping about coke stories and money to escape from their own pathetic lives. at least nas can pop them babies out. i dont remember carmen or kelis pulling swoop and swaps with surrogate mothers. fuck roc nation and fuck good music

So an album that aint even come out yet is weak now...Looks like you been skippin on your hate medication lately

I think only time can tell that but, the impact seems pretty big, so we'll see in the future.

I rate a classic by how much I want to hear it a yr later

Co-Sign for realness and accuracy. I can't call something that has been out 4 days a CLASSIC, but as I stated in another thread, it will be considered a CLASSIC in two years time. I guarantee it.

some albums come out and change the game soon as they drop and are instant classics like illmatic or ready to die, and others are heralded classics over time like it was written was. LIG IMO will be considered a classic over time.

It's a good album but dayum give it some time LOLOL. I think a classic should be judged by how it ages over time and how well it captured the spirit of the times and helped the game.

@Jamaica, aye fam in the next rounds I think the distinction b/w what is a classic album should definitely be a debate topic LOL. It'd make for a great discussion fam.

No doubt

Its not a classic, but not for the reasons people are saying.

Contrary to popular belief, you dont need YEARS to decide if an album is classic...SMH

The Source had no problem labeling classics right upon release...

The Blueprint, Stillmatic, Tha Fix, Illmatic, Be...all instant classics.

At the end of the day if you listen to enough music, and the rapper is known, you know relatively quickly

This is not a clsassic b/c...well, its not a classic.

Be is the reason I don't call anything Instant Classics anymore. I called that shit a classic when I first bought it and have played it maybe twice in the last 7 years. It's not as timeless to me as I thought it was back then.

And XXL gave Finding Forever only an XL because they felt they had mistakenly given Be a an XXL.

lmfao

When I was listening to tracks 1-7 I thought damn, this could be a classic album. The first 2 tracks are ridiculous.

After 7 it fell off a little bit and theres some average songs mixed in with some better ones.

I think it's just a really good album.

What song do you consider average? The only average at best song IMO is summer on smash.
