http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlin...ing-wife-of-77-years-over-60-year-old-affair/

I remember someone made a thread about this when it first happened.

Gotta respect the man for not tolerating her behavior.

This year has been filled with its share of sudden and surprising divorces in the entertainment and political world, but this split may take the cake.

A 99-year-old Italian man filed for divorce from his 96-year-old wife of 77 years after he found letters from an affair she had 60 years ago.

The man, identified in court papers as Antonio C., discovered the letters exchanged between his wife and a former flame in an old chest of drawers days before Christmas, according to the Telegraph. He confronted his wife, Rosa C., who reportedly admitted to the affair, and tried to convince him to stick with their marriage.

But despite the nearly eight decades that they spent building a life together, a scorned Antonio C., moved ahead with the divorce. (Guess he never heard of “let bygones be bygones.”) The letters were the latest woes in the couple’s long marriage during which they had five kids, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild together, according to UPI.

Originally from Sardinia, Antonio C. reportedly met Rosa C. in the 1930s while he served as part of the Italian Carabinieri in her native Naples. The Italian press pointed to the couple’s southern blood as the catalyst for the breakup, the Telegraph noted.

Once Antonio and Rosa C.’s divorce is finalized, they will become the oldest divorcees, according to the Telegraph, taking the title from fellow Brits Bertie and Jessie Wood, both aged 98, who called it quits in 2009 after 36 years of marriage.

Smh at the person who wrote the article calling him "scorned."

Sounds like some shit @MzGrahambitches would say.

Good morning Kathryn.

What a little dumb old whore she was from keeping love letters.

This is true.

Some people probably think it's silly for him to divorce her over something that happened almost 80 years ago, but if she still held on to the love letters...dude's probably thinking that their whole life together was built on a lie...and that the only reason she stayed with him is because she couldn't be with the man she had the affair with.

Old dude wasn't satisfied with being her backup plan or second choice.

@Dro & anyone else

Real Shit

what's considered cheating?...Would you leave your wife..if she don't necessary have sex with the girl or dude but just so happened to go out to dinner with another dude or girl (Applebees)...how many times would she have to do this before you leave her..

I guess I'm asking..how much would you tolerate her 'cheating' without her necessarily having sex wit a girl or dude..you invested time with her 10 years strong and every so often you catch her doing these lil things..on the phone..seeing conversation between her and someone else ...lets say every 5-8 months you catch her doing some dumb shit like that..

no trolling

You can fuck up in a lot of other ways that don't include cheating.

Betrayal of trust in conjunction with possible risk to your/my health = fuck outta here.

I think if it gets to a point for any kind of cheating, it was time for the relationship to end before the first time any of that happened. I'll say that I think its possible for a woman or man to cheat then come back to their senses, like damn, that wasnt worth it, or these dates made realize how much they miss their partner. But there's still something there that should be addressed, that could still lead to a break up without infidelity. But in a marriage, I think once the barrier of trust is broken, its time for certain series of events to take place to either save or sever the relationship.

Men and women have different mentalities when it comes to sexual encounters.

The man looks at a woman like an object, the pussy is just there and I'll take it. They smash and dash with no feelings involved. They can accept the fact that there's no strings attached. There isn't a true mental connection with the woman he just smashed. He just found her attractive and went with what his mind wanted; quick sex. (not ALL men are like this, but you get the gist)

With a female it's different. They don't just smash, they get on a mental level with them. They like, not only the physical aspect of them, but their personality. They love the way they're treated, spoken to, respected, cared for etc... They involve emotions in the cheating. Usually will not dick hop, like men pussy hop, but go back to the same guy because she felt a connection with him.

That's why I say I couldn't fuck with it.

Look at the old couple, 80 years or whatever of marriage and he still left her. She had those letters she kept for YEARS, that was an emotional connection. That's something that destroys love.

I couldn't look at my wife the same, someone else did something I wasn't doing. That would fuck me up.

Well damn. I might have to switch my c/s to a GOAT. Vibe dropped the realest s@@@ in here.

After this explanation, it makes sense as to why he left her. That crap would hurt my soul to the core as well. 77 years together, only to find out you gave your heart to another man??

Smh
