This is true tho.... I dont understand the arguement somebody will have against this.... And what does 50 have to do with Ross being a Legend anyway?

It was only to gauge said posters intent. His opinion in this thread is just as invalid as mine would be in a "Is 50 Cent a legend" thread. He's biased just like we all are sometimes.

Hood songs aren't hit records, hits are records that crossed over to top 40 and mainstream. That's like saying Pastor Troy "we ready" and "i declare war" are hit records, i might give you Hustlin and that's it.

yea none of those songs appeal to appeal to young crackas....

The word legend in hip-hop is a subjective term.......how can someone prove a rapper is a legend or not???

True. However, people compose their arguments based on actually notable feats. Things you people have failed to present. "He can spit", "He has hit records" (which none have ever cracked the top 10 and most not even the top 30), etc. surely don't bring credibility to an argument. Rather humor, because they are not of the factorial persuasion. Get it??

None of those songs are hit records, stop the nonsense. Hit records are Lollipop, Live your life, Nothing on you, etc. They crossed over to mainstream America!

......lol, I'm talking about his flow and rhyme scheme. You talkin bout he soundin more sure of himself on BMF? Why? Because he took a more aggressive tone on it? Come on fam.

Go listen to early Young Jeezy then come back & tell me if "sounding sure of yourself" matters or not. It matters. When you first go in the booth, you don't know your comfort zone yet. Comparing Hustlin to BMF........both are southern & bouncy. Neither are fit to be lyrical masterpieces. Just bangers. So........I'm looking at everything else. Ross Flow is more crisp, he sounds more mature, he did away with the Young Jeezy adlibs (Atlantic!!!!, Noreiga!!!!! the real Noreiga!!!!) & it just all around sounds better.

Trust me dog....you really dont want me to put the entire Port of Miami on this thread. Its his worst lyrical offering. Easy. Just stop it.

Yes u can..... Thats like sayin Micheal Jackson legendary Status is Subjective.....

Records Sold, Impact, Hit Records all factor into somebody being a legend in ANY genre.....

Where are these UNIVERSAL standards printed for legendary status in hiphop??? Its all opinionated.......how you force someone to except your favorite rapper as a legend???

Oh so because I can make an actual legitimate argument for 50, I'm bias? Stop the foolery. 50 isn't even my most listened to rapper. If you people would actually compose a legitimate argument that includes actually set in stone feats, rather than opinions, I would have no ground to stand on. Kind of like I did to clearly show who is the superior artist. I'm one of the first to admit that 50 is fallen of bad and became extremely complacent. Stop looking for bullshit on an empty floor...

Why can't this nigga just go down as a successful artist that made hits and a few good albums. Why he gotta be labeled a Legend?

Because he laying the path to be a legend..

Too Short, Trick Daddy, UGK, 8 Ball & MJG, ATCQ, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Geto Boys & Scarface

All of these niggas are low-key Legends...wasn't the biggest artists during they heyday...but, they still get a lot of respect in Hip Hop & in their respective cities. Its a lot more but, I dont feel like naming them all.

If they can have a certain level of respect, I dont see how its not feasible that Ross won't get the same
