Most of what keeps niggas like LL and Cube from G.O.A.T. conversations is the fact that they didn't quite know when to stop...and much of their latter catalog is tainted with trash. Take LL, for example. If he had stopped after Mr. Smith, he'd be exalted. But the garbage he released afterwards has tarnished the greatness of his legacy. He's done.

I think we all can agree that Kanye has one of the strongest catalogs in hip hop right now and can definitely rival similar catalogs by Hov and Nas, in terms of cohesiveness, and his work as a producer is top tier, to say the least.

Let's say Kanye retires now...are Graduation, 808's, College Drop out, Dark Twisted Fantasy, Watch the Throne, and Late Registration good enough to solidify Kanye as a G.O.A.T.?

i think what makes the nigga so great is the fact that first of.... he's a fucking bad ass producer and he knows his music.. and how to make "GREAT" music

even though he was criticized for heavy use of sampling early in his career..

he knows how to make music you can relate to and inspiring music... very musical at times hence "MDTF"

and he's also a very diverse musician too and knows how to work his diversity...

his catalog is great, i liked the concept with first three albums... he's definitely G.O.A.T. at creativity in this era of mainstream rap.
