Their is religion is as much as a mish-mash as Christianity. I also think it gets a bad rap from the media, people tend to lump religious fanatics with the whole of the religion.

It failed to make the necessary adjustments to keep up with the ever-changing times. Religion should not be stagnant.

Egyptians, Nubians, Sumerians, KMT were all conquered because their expression did not take into account that warfare is part of religion. If you can't protect your way of life then it is inferior to that which supplants it.

We don't need to go back as much as we need to look back, assess, grab that which is good leave off that which is not, and move forward into a newer, higher expression. I can't go back to that which was conquered. The enemy is a million light years ahead of where he was thousands of years ago.

Ok. You are confusing cultural imperialism with religious principles. Those principles found in the Quran such as council affairs, jurisprudence, charity, prayer, etc. did not start with the Oppressors. They started with us. We just took our way and codified it in book form and gave it to those who did not have the natural inclination to live it due to their circumstances. They just gave it back to us in a convoluted form and wrapped dogma in cultural imperialism. It is not their religion. It was always our way, go study who inhabited Mesopatamia, The Holy Land, and the Nile valley. You will find the same people. I have no problem with Black people accepting sound principles regardless to where it comes from. Just don't ask me to deny who I am.

My problem with Cultural Nationalists and those who say we should go back to ancient African religion is they can't show me a working model of what they mean. They usually talk a good one but they can't manifest past talk. They trip off of labels as an ideological escape hatch to reject that which is working.

Who has been at the forefront of Black progress, independence, and innovation more than the Black religious community? Who sparked the Civil rights movement? Black Christians. WHo was at the forefront of the Black Nationalist/Independence Movement? Black Muslims. Who up to this point has been the most succesful in the repatriation movement and a successful, visible model of what a spiritual minded, balanced community of black people if left alone can produce? Black Hebrews.

Until the African traditionalist can begin to build institutions and stewarding mechanisms that begin to uplift our people they really can not tout the superiority of their claims. It's like a team getting blown out by thirty who still insists upon talking shit. Personally, I think most ofl them dudes want to do is argue and dream.

Real talk. Our people need concretized reality that comes from vision. Muhammad has had whole nations spring from his legacy. Financial and economic systems that many are beginning to adhere to. Systems of jurisprudence, Social order, etc. This is 1400 plus years after he died. And he couldn't read or write, but some of the most advance mathematic and scientific innovations over the last 1000 years were done by people inspired by his example.

Mansa Musa who headed the Mali empire was a Muslims. As were many African. The vast majority of Africans who are Muslims have not given up their cultural ways, unless it conflicts with principles.
