Once I hit 315 on my bench about 3 years ago I switched to Dumbbells, and never really went back to using the bar, don't even know how much I could bench now.

2 weeks later after ramadan. Im able to walk a mile with the 61 lbs kettlebell.

Running and calisthenics the morning and going to the gym in the afternoon works really good for me.

Next step the turkish get up

Whats really the benefit of walkin a mile wit a kettlebell? Sounds like an injury waiting to happen.

Really bruh? You're surprising me man with some of the comments you make.

That's a full body workout. Our ancestors were constantly carrying heavy stones great distances.   Whether it was to make a fire pit, add strength to a hut or build some monument, they had to be strong enough to pick up a heavy stone and have the conditioning necessary to walk with it.

It really is a total body work out.  Your arms are worked from holding and gripping the kettlebell, your back and core are constantly under strain to keep your torso erect and your legs are obviously doing all the walking. Grip strength gonna be on 1,000 with consistency.

They don't make us like they used to.

Lol, our ancestors used to live to be 30 yrs old on average too bruh. But I get what you saying. Just doesn't seem like it'd be good for the joints over the long term, but I can see doing it every once in a while.

It's called a farmers walk. Builds everything. Especially traps and big fore arms.

I know what a farmer's walk is, just never heard of anybody doing it for a mile.

This. Ive done the same damn workout wit 2 5 gallon jugs around a track.

But again I dont see the benefit doing it for a mile.

Also battle ropes>>>>>

I take the bell, walk from the office toward the gym. In the gym i walk with it toward the opposite side of the baket ball court. Then i make cleans , snatch and lunges with it fir 30 mns. Then i go upstairs of the gym and start some heavy weight lifting for 40 mns.

Finally i walk to my office whichbis on the 2nd floor and im done for the day.

I just reproduce what ive experienced in deployment. Matter of fact you have to carry a shit load of things. Too much office people get STRESS , KNEES and BACK region injuries cause they are not accustomed to the bulletproof vest and bag weight.

I do it one time a week though.

I understand why the russians call the bells the path of courage.

i dont go over 150 on my bench presses cause i'm doing that 20 rep 8 sets shit.

Great. Will try it next week.

I bench press holding the bar at bottom for 2 seconds before going back to initial position.

* goes to sleep

I never got into battle ropes. What's the benefits of using them?

@Lurkristocrat

Literally everything you wrote about lol. its the goat full body work out. You can do rounds of battle ropes and then go jog 3 miles without breaking a sweat. Cardio will be on 10, I love it.

I remember some out of shape nigga was at the gym doing that shit and he passed the fuck out LMAO. Ambulance and fire fighter came. I knew that nigga was gonna pass out LOL Mind you the A/C broke and it was in the mid 80's that day. The free weights area smelled like death. This was at a LA fitness

Increase it to 4 seconds.

I used to do that, shit was GOAT. Nothing like a bigger nigga than you joining in your workout and he can't hold for the 4 second pause at the bottom then push up lol He go back to regular benching without the pause.

There is nothing like making what you do at the gym look easy as fuck though.

Now the people watching you don't know how hard you work to reach the level you are at. They don't know how much blood, sweat, and tears you've shed. They don't know how hard it is for you while in the middle of the lift, but you keep a straight face and push through it. All they know is that when you do it, it looks effortless.

That's how I like it.

i see everyone's post about chest workouts. remember dumbbells, 2-4 second holds, high reps and low reps are all just tools. Everyone should try each other's method out to swith it up and shock the muscle.

Right now I'm working out with 315, 10x4 then I lower the weight and increase the reps each set till i get down to 135. this my July-August chest workout. September will be something completely different.

Also superset dips with decline bench and buy yourself a bra when you finish

Lift weights while cutting if you aren't already, and make sure you're taking in enough protein.

9am according to doctors is the best time to workout since testosterone is normally at its highest in men during this time. Just food for thought.

I do believe tho the best time to workout is after a goodnights rest and before you gotta go to work or take the kids to school or camp or before church. I see why alot of people just let it all go after a certain age. Never underestimate the value of discipline, scheduling, self determination, and a clear mind. On top of all that whatever goal you're eyeing for.

Its a lifestyle, not a fad

Sure I could look this up but I'll ask yall as well

As far as the protein, what kind of foods yall specifically look to get your protein from daily or weekly? Lot of Chicken?
