i remember when Big L was alive i used to constantly tell people how i thought he had the illest punchlines. people would laugh at me. they would say big L stood for big loser. I would play lifestylez ov da poor and dangerous and folks would tell me to turn that bullshit off.

a few years later when he died these SAME PEOPLE would be talking about he is the goat and the best ever, and if only he had lived he'd be up there with biggie.

I've seen similar things with ODB and Big Pun. Lots of people were lukewarm to their music when alive, but when dead, they all of a sudden were the best thing ever.
