Here's what I propose to him and his bloc. Clearly, citing statistics doesn't do anything to convince them, and that's okay.

I ask you to catch up with ALLLL the people you graduated high school with, and didn't go to college.

Since anecdotal evidence is the flavor of this thread, I want you to just find out how they're doing. If they're struggling, etc.

If the vast majority are eatin' good like you are....I'll take my l and walk the fuck home.

HOWEVER, if the vast majority are barely getting by or worse(which is my hypothesis), sit down and shut up. Be happy that you're an exception, but realize that it is imprudent to tell someone "Don't go to college, because you don't need it"

I don't know why these topics create so much controversy.

Bottom line if you're going to go to college pursue something in one of the STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, math) if not one of those, more than likely you're going to need a masters in your chosen major or even a PHd. If none of that sounds palatable either go to trade school and/or start a business.

That's a rough outline and there are exceptions, other legit hustles, and some other routes, but that's generally the paradigm Asians and Indians follow and they have the highest median incomes out there.

I've yet to bemoan or demonize anyone's success in this thread. However, you and almost everyone who's on your side of the argument has found it necessary to denigrate me and the people in this thread who agree with me.

I don't understand how you can look at the numbers and say "Yeah, it's in your interest to not go to college." Sure, there are entrepreneurial people who neither need nor want college. But the majority of people are not like that.

It all depends on what you like to do with your money. People don't really take issue with folks bragging about shit, more the idea that if you're NOT bragging it means you don't have shit. Some people really do like to just be lowkey about things. Not everybody wants or desires to do the same things with their money.
