How big is your family on each side (moms/dads)?

i have a fukking huge family(greensboro, charleston, north charleston, yonkers, white plains, philly, cali, colorado all over the fukking place) i dont like or dont fukk with most of them fukkers.....i got my reasons. dont judge me.

was closest with my dad(RIP), my second oldest brother(RIP)and my sister above me and most of my neices and nephews at a time.

they all grew up....my sister lost weight and is rolling with the new attention.

There's my half siblings on my dad's side but we're all spread across the country so I'm not super close with any relatives.

My moms side is moderate - Great-grandmom had six kids (five girls and a boy); most of my grandmom's sisters had no more than three kids. My grandmom had four; my mom and my three uncles.

My dad's side is fucking massive. My paternal grandparents had 14 kids; he was the second youngest. And alot of my 1st cousins had like 6-8 children of their own. I've got 1st cousins older than my dad who I thought were my aunts and uncles when I was a kid, and I've got 2nd cousins older than me who I grew up believing were my 1st cousins. I'm sure there's about 150 people total on that side of the family, minimum.

Strangely enough, about 95% of all my family lives in New Castle County in Delaware. I never really understood that. I guess that's why I've been asked to move back like 20 times. Not doin it, tho. That's also why I'm bout to press the elope button on this wedding (one of the reasons, anyway). My dad tried to pressure me into having it in Wilmington. ALL them muhfuckas wasn't coming...that would've been 400 people easy. Fuck THAT.

On my mom's side of the family (the Afro-Brazilian side) I got 5 aunts and 2 uncles and 39 cousins. Only six of which are dudes by the way. This is the side of the family I'm close to.

On my dad's side...the white immigrant side...I got 5 aunts and 4 uncles and 33 cousins I think. Also mostly female. I'm not as close with them.

Growing up with a large family was GOAT: I remember always being surrounded by cousins growing up and it was like having a million best friends. No one fucked with me at school 'cause they knew if they fucked with me they'd suddenly have beef with like 20 other people.

I regret not being closer to my dad's family. I'm trying to get to know them now but it leads to unintentional comedy since I'm meeting these fine ass bitches who I turn out to be related to and I'm not sure how to feel about that.

From what I'm told since I was too young to remember the reunions. It wasn't even always the same people.

A few years ago I met like 3-4 cousins I'd never met we were around the same age and grew up in the same city. I lived in NE and they lived in SE but all still lived in DC and never met. We all was like "what's up" and that was it.

Let me clear up what I'm saying. With the nephew being OLDER than the Uncle. I've never seen or heard the nephews walk in and be like "what's up uncle so & so" they just call the nigga by his first name.

Family is pretty big on both side.

Dad side span across 4 different countries, USA, Canada, UK and Jamaica. Dad is 1 of 11 children. I haven't met all of the extended family in UK or Canada. We jokingly call each other clans, like oh this person from the U.K. Clan

Mom side is in same countries as Dad except for U.K. Mom is 1 of 10. Haven't met all of the extended family here.

My boy used to joke that I shouldn't date any Jamaican girls cause she might be one of my cousins

We go like 80-90 deep on my mom's side (immediate and extended)

And like 20-30 on my pop's side.

There's probably more on my mom's side cuz my great-grandmother was 1 of 7/8 (3 girls & the rest boys) but I never met any of her brothers and the last one died in 1995. I don't even know if they had any kids. Plus idk anything about my great-grandfathers family.
