Fair or Foul: Women Anonymously Discuss Regretting Having Their Children and Becoming Single Mothers

For me, I don't have regret towards my children. I do wish both my wife and I would've lived a little, but I don't dwell on it.

I stress to my children to live life, not to jump into anything. Graduate, take a break, then get into your career. Always WORK for yourself. Be selfish for your first few years. Build a career, money and get yourself a car a house before you decide to get into having a family.

Regardless of whether it's fair or foul, they're telling the truth about how they feel...........so I respect them for speaking from their heart.

kind of off topic, but its going to be interesting to see how, if ever, we begin to address the fact that here in america child bearing has become disadvantageous....which is obviously problematic

with women for example, you marry/bear children young and your spouse decides to leave you, there is little support there... especially for low income mothers...and more than likely you have little career prospects

you wait until the "right time" to have children, there's a good chance you may struggle to get pregnant considering our chances of getting pregnant begin to dwindle after our early thirties.....most the time fertility drugs aren't covered by your insurance

That's just one of many things we should do, women keeping their legs closed and being more selective in who with let break them down like a shot gun is another.

most single mothers were young/teen mothers who come from low income households

so like most young ppl, I would say they were a poor judge of character and easily manipulated...which most will admit if they were being completely honest

and I'm not sure how that takes away from the fact that there was a person who made the conscious decision not to take care of his or her responsibilities

so what is your point again?

with that said, I feel its more of a societal and parental failure then anything else in these instances...

I never suggested or explicitly stated "ghetto kids are too fucking stupid to know better"

as I said before most young ppl are a poor judge of character and easily manipulated regardless of where they are from or who their parents are

the difference is kids from the mid to top of the economic ladder actually have the funds for an abortion readily available, they have greater access to different forms of contraceptives, and the perceived and actual economic opportunity available

Society is moving in a direction where delusion of happiness is the best way to live. Instead of handling difficult hurdles we choose hide and make excuses.

Overweight? Accept it and "love" yourself.

Relationships? Men don't "need" women. Women don't "need" men.

Let's talk economics also. There was a time a man could afford to take care of his family on a single income. Those days are OVER, so while the public is moving to a for self, by myself lifestyle. It doesn't work financially.

Part of the problem is that we are going against the grain the create a happy all of the time society. It will backfire. So here you have mothers struggling financially or emotionally because she isn't whole. Then you have men living their life without purpose....

I'm going off on a tangent, but this all connected.

Should've led with this because your statement just comes off to some like you're blaming men solely for this.

@desertrain10 It's not only young chicks getting knocked up. Chicks older than 25 are going through this too.

Women choose lame ass men (mostly), men choose lame ass women. Both got to do better. Women mostly decides the sex so they're mostly at fault with their shitty choices.

This thread has a zionist media agenda feel just springing up on Father's Day like this.

I'm starting to think the 1st story in the O/P was made up just to get other women who actually feel that way to talk about it.

Hard to describe, but it just seemed too well written to have really come from the heart.

Exactly.

Which is ironic because it's the exact opposite of what true feminism really is.

However, it is consistent with the male-bashing feminist rhetoric that's being spewed by radical feminists.
