Didnt listen but sounds like they stealing the Luniz work. Royalties come to mind, at the very least.

Met Yukmouth back in 2010, he told me that they dont get royalties for I got 5 on it or the first album.

Only show money. They didn't get a penny for the record sales either.

He was 17-16 when he signed the contract and didn't read it. One of the first ones to get jerked by the industry.

also worth mentioning that if they didn't recoup the money the label sank into the project then it makes sense that they didn't see a dime for it. The prolly signed over their publishing rights for the record too.

The contract literally stated that they will only get paid for shows. And they will only get like 20 percent or something.

They never read it until the album dropped smh.

Yuk could've been caking on that song his entire life like some one hit wonders do.

I just wanna know who was in the board room like "lets go with the Tupac flow....hell yeah"

all 40-50-something year old white folks love Pac. That was targeted marketing at it's finest.

Caught a glimpse of this when channel flicking earlier, not a fan of these tunes being remixed to be used in commercial ads.

Hip hop was rarely used if at all for commercials until the huge rise in popularity.

Now they make up some wack ass raps and throw a hip hop beat on for pretty much every commercial.

lots of teens would have done the same...especially back then....nobody knew

we thought everybody that was on TV and radio had cake

If anyone is mad. Be mad at the black people that got involved. It's one of those things that make you cringe because you feel corny for watching it.

Been peep that interacial black folk are the safe black folk these companies use to ad to black people

It’s that Barack Obama shit...but low key it’s kinda offensive cause the point is black enough to sell, but not black enough to scare

So even when advertising to black folks, they still keeping white folks in mind more than black people

And how u aim to talk to black people and at the same time care more about another race than the race ur trying to communicate wit

But wit this ad, I ain’t got no issue..in fact I think they went brown bear to not offend black people, cause they knew they were toeing a line anyway

Imma ad that he said they got 50k in advance and that's the only thing he needed to hear to sign the contract.

As a kid that a lot of money. They didn't know they were getting screwed until later on
