Nas went platinum in 1 month with Nastradamus, so I don't know how his commercial efforts failed.

Also, to say Nas is in for the money is crazy, since there are an abundance of quotes out there that say/imply Nas didn't want to be looked at as a sell-out.

Only reason Nas aint doin commercial music is cause he aint built for that shit.

He knows he's not going to sell as much as the artist who rides the "what's hot now" wave, so you can't feel sorry for him when he doesn't get the level of commercial success that the guys who are trying to get commercial success get.
