he hasnt added much more dope Hip Hop music to the genre, none of the shyt he's made is innovative, all been done and would have been done regardless if he never existed. I f you mean he's added more commercialism and has opened up hip hop to many more media outlets, you would be absolutely right, musically i dont think he's done shyt for the genre, someone like kanye west is someone that can go under the category of bringing a lot to the genre and setting trends even and changing the music, musically Em aint influenced shyt, to be honest... Jay brought that flashy and 'street wise and more money wise and aware' element to hip hop, cash money brought that bling bling and straight stunin ish, pac brought the beef and the whole capitalizing off of it and 50 brought that shyt back when he came back, dipset brought the slang and the 'swag', t.i. and jeezy wit that trap shyt which oppened doors for a whole bunch of trap stars, DMX brought that hardcore era back, see where im goin with this...

the people i mentioned influence the game and set trends which would then be followed and focused on by the music industry, Em was never capable of this...he was able to survive through certain areas just being Em regardless of what he put out, even if bad (lets be honest) and would always sell just becuz, but his music never revolutionized shyt.

Pac was using hiphop which was a form of expression invented by black people to express themselves in the same way that slaves used to humm and sing their souls out as a cry and as a way to express theirselves.
