All the internet is, is a big ass file cabinet. Anything pertaining to that topic will be dropped in a forever open file. Certain things will be protected while other things are open to the public, shit you may have forgotten about.
Marketing firms are using that to their advantage now. For example, let's say you bought something from Amazon a coat perhaps. What marketing firms and other companines are doing is thay will see that you bought a coat from Amazon, and will advertise that particular brand on another site you may have an account on. So you might read a north face banner on this site, but won't even realize that it is catered specifically to you and your buying history online.
It seems like no big deal, but that implies that companies have enough access to your personal info without you having to be on social networks that are rumored to sell people's info. The moment you go public online, you are now open to the public. Obama and the rest of the government has no idea how big this is, but they say shit to make us believe that they have it all under control, but they don't.

PLASTIC RULES;3184151 said:lol @ thinking they need an email address to do all that. Supercookies and IP addresses are all they really need.
Amazon doesn't have a publicly searchable directory that lets you search for a person and enables you to see their whole transaction history. People also generally don't post retarded shit on sites like Amazon. (As opposed to social networking sites)
Marketing firms have been collecting credit card transaction records for decades now, how is what you describe any different?
How will me buying a winter jaccet online affect my chances of getting a job? It won't.
I'm pretty sure you don't even know what the "Identity Ecosystem" that the Obama Administration is pushing is.

Tie that with a browser set to purge EVERYTHING every time you close it and your cookie problem goes away too.

Shit, I remember trying to work for this company and I found it weird that they wanted to befriend me on FB, the place where my shit was just hanging out. Since then I deleted my profile and I told myself I'm not doing FB anymore. Its too easy for whomever that wants to watch you. Cats posting location updates...tagging photos. I just started thinking about that shit one day and deleted my pro with the quickness before any other possible damage can be put into the equation. Meanwhile the masses are putting their life schedule on that site...its bugged out for real
blackrain;3185683 said:that's the thing I don't get about Facebook...why has it become so popular to let everyone know exactly where you're at every moment of the day? That tracking shit is dangerous...somebody's gonna get killed behind that shit
Suck Me Beautiful;3176550 said:Yall dumb for using yall real names on them shlts to begin with............smh
king bloo;3185740 said:Fake celebrity status; that's why. Niggas really think they're so fuckin important or popular that everyone really gives two shits about what they're doing every minute of the day. It's all attention whoring. FB/Myspace/Twitter's appeal lies in giving the people that weren't popular in high school the ability to be popular... even if it isn't real.
FOH niggas having 1000+ "friends" like it means something.
chickenman11;3185959 said:Man i have like maybe 20 people i don't know out of 1200+ friends but i know all of them and i actually do speak to all of them one different days tho.
its good to stay connected with people from the past and your current friends especially the ones who live over seas.
king bloo;3186300 said:Like I said, this shit is for unpopular niggas to make believe that they were popular.
