This show did type fall off after his wife died and it picked up last season ad this season a little, but the formula of killing a big bad per season got redundant

Still like it, but it was hard to outdo the season the wife died.breaking bad is overshadowing the Dex finale.I should care more, but I just don't

maybe im bias cuz im a huge Dexter fan but I liked season 3 and 5. and tho its blasphemy to admit or say it I liked the first 1/4 of season 6.

tho I'll admit. Jimmy Smits characters sudden desire to kill seemed pretty outlandish and far fetched and Julia Stiles was a huge miscast.

but both seasons had great moments tho.

The scene in season 5 where Dex has to tell Astor and Cody Rita is dead is classic - with the Mickey Mouse hat on.

Episode 11 was good...tried to find a link to the last EP...was a few desperate moments of google searches and mouse clicks....lol.

So Debs dies, Dexter gets murked...by Batista after Dex kills Saxon and tries to escape with Hannah...who has to somehow murk the PI at the airport.

Hannah leaves with Harrison.

Spinoff series in 5 years. Harrison returns to Miami, schooled in his fathers code, with the ability to poison courtesy of his step moms Hannah.

My crazy Dexter theories...lol

overall it was a mixed bag.

so many plot holes. like didn't he sell the suv to Astor? Mazuka's daughter was complete bullshit filler. why didn't Elway jus force Hannah and Harrison off the bus? Quinn and Batista so easily clear Dexter. and WTF, they pretty much stole the endin from Dark Knight Rises. they might as well jus said 'fuck it' and showed Dexter reading a Newspaper, sitting next to Harrison and Hannah, while Matthews nodded smiling from the restaurant across the street.

but I must say the mercy killing of Deb and her bein his "final victim" was very touchin. I liked that. It was sad, but had to be done. But I fuckin hated Dext ridin into the storm AND even hated more Dex fakin his own death. utter cop out bullshit (only good part was there was no voice over) I think Dex shoulda tied a brick to his foot and slit his own throat and jumped into the water. so he and Deb coulda been together forever.

I think its safe to say these are not the same writers from season 1-4. and I bet the original writers are pissed @ this bullshit.

imo the only good parts were 1.seein Deb finally die 2. Dex dumpin Deb in the ocean 3. Dex finally admitting everything he touches he turns to shit.

btw, they mutha fuckin owed it to Bastista to have him to find out Dexter was the Bay Harbour Butcher. my nigga deserved a better ending.

i liked how they wrapped up saxon, and that debra died, and the flashback scenes in the hospital were excellent, probably the best scenes they had this season. And remember the monsters was a clever title. Dexter was always going to have to remember the monsters about himself. but so, so, so many plotholes. Theyre just gonna ignore that deb's body vanished? no one wondering where Harrison went? the boondocks saint guy is just gonna forget about hannah after the bus? No one is gonna see that dexter himself planted that bag cuz they do have cameras in airports?

I don't mind him becoming a lumberjack. Creepy as fuck how they made no narration. Technically, dexter was cured but was now living in his own personal hell. complete opposite from doing police work in sunny miami. but it just felt like now they were just setting up for a spin off or a movie (which they dont deserve after this season). Batista should have figured it out. even if he didnt do anything about it. he was too smart not to.

its disappointing cuz season 1 - 5 were as good as anything on TV right now. and for a while I thought homeland was making this show step up its game (the season with the Punisher in it was pretty damn good too).

Deb dying was really sad, but they ended this show sloppy and not epic at all

I assume Dex will still go on killing ppl no matter what he says

It made no sense to give Harrison to old girl

I guess she was the only person he trusted, but what happens if she gets caught?

In 15 years we get the new series Harrison:Son of Dexter

Im in agreement with all...this shit was garbo smh.

But for some reason I wasnt all that disappointed since this season was garbo from the jump...like many said, so many plotholes I wont even go into it, plus most has been pointed out already...but a big lol @ a man wearing green cargos and a green henley being able to roll a body covered in white sheets out of a hospital unnoticed smh

And the way Saxson died was so weak and anticlimatic, pathetic...all in all I guess with Dexter being a lumberjack living in seclusion he's finally realized that he's not normal and has come to grips with everything Harry been tellin him bout trying to develop a normal life like normal people. I wouldve liked to know if he cont killing or not tho.

After 8 seasons, Dexter as a whole has flopped imo, and after 2 promising seasons (1 & 2) in which it looked like it was gonna be a top 3 show of all time, it failed misereably....sad.
