Sad thing is they may not be goin all in, cuz they are settin up the spinoff.

What's the spinoff gonna be?

Masuka and his daughter or some shit?

Actually, that might be it considering there doesn't seem to be any other reason for that storyline to have been introduced.

5.
Fade to black. Implying that Quinn is to become what Dexter used to be

how certain are you that this is going to happen?

Chris Broussard sources... But really, take a look at the spoilers I posted earlier in the thread and see how well they match up. I forgot the site I got them from but I also found out

Fade back in on Miami Metro tuned to the news. Lady on the news describes the destruction Hurricane Laura caused, details the finding of Saxon's body and reports on hundreds of bodies washing up on shore, leading to the assumption that the infamous Bay Harbor Butcher may still be at large. During this whole time Dexter's monologue is about the mess storms make but the light that shines afterwards. Bautista comments on how they'll have to get right into this new Bay Harbour Butcher evidence, and how it's probably a copy cat. Quinn replies that it's not, to which Bautista says that Doakes was the Bay Harbor Butcher. Quinn says, maybe he wasn't and then leaves Bautista's office, as he gets a look of sudden realization on his face.

Cue Dexter sitting at a cafe in Argentina with Hannah while Harrison runs around. Dexter's inner voice is talking about is new feeling, hurt and loss, but he swears to look after Hannah and Harrison until he no longer can. His final monologue is about remembering the monsters. It fades to black for a good five seconds after this and you think it's all over.

We are surprised by a fade in on a man eating at an outdoor restaurant from the perspective of inside a car. Out of focus a figure can be seen at the wheel, turned away from us focused on the man at the restaurant. The camera adjusts to focus on the driver and we see Quinn. He looks directly into the camera, and a voice over belonging to Desmond Harrington says "Tonight's the night". Quinn smiles and the show cuts out, rolling credits.

Number 2 and 5 is a reach, imo. Up til this point, has he shown any behavior that would indicate that he's likely to into "that"?

I know's tv and all but Deb's wound didn't look like something she could die from if she made it to the hospital. A white female cop isn't dying in the hospital from that. She's getting that vsop treatment

I just finished season 1 , its was decent I suppose

It can't be worse than smallville or heroes can it ?

I mean weeds has to hold the record, it was only good for one season....

if your going to binge watch it then basically pre season 4 is decent, post season 4 you should really start to lower your expectations.

the problem is the shows potential peaked in that season, the trinity killer was the perfect antagonist for dexter(and john lithgow absolutely murders that role),especially with the story line going on at the time and if anything they kind of set themselves up for the fail trying to follow that.i honestly feel like they got lucky for that one season, because for a show this big nothing's even come close to touching it which is weird.

i actually liked weeds for the first 2 or 3 seasons....it went downhill after they moved out of the original town they were in.

Watch Seasons 1, 2, and 4. Read the synopsis for season 3. Tbh Season 4 could've been a good series ending.

I'm catching up with season 8 but the scene when Hannah, Zac, Dexter and Dr Vogal are having dinner is great television.

I'd fuck the shit outta Hannah McKay...bitch got me mesmerised.

Always wondering if she'd poison me or not making me wanna beat...

I think I'm ill.

Maybe you could convince her to dye/cut her hair, put on a hat and some sunglasses to disguise herself while you're at it.

Needless to say Yvonne Strahovski is fine as fuck. Julie Benz is fine too but they downplayed her in Dexter for her role.

This is what dude on imdb who always comes correct said about the final episode.

It's all over. Done. Finished.

After 8 seasons, 96 episodes, and countless victims, Dexter Morgan has taken his final bow.

Season 8 has been a mixed bag, to say the very least. With all due respect to those who have been enjoying it...It should've been so much more. What started with so much potential and intrigue, dissipated into unfocused story lines, lazy pacing, and a lack of emotional weight. This being the final season, there shouldn't have been a wasted moment.

Maybe time will be kinder to Season 8 down the road, but its not about the first 11 episodes anymore... It's about the BIG one. Either the finale puts the nail in the season, or it goes out on a emotional and intense high.

As always, you'll find NO SPOILERS for the finale here. But I'll do you all a kindness and debunk a few rampant details...

No Quinn becomes the new Dexter.

No Matthews kills Dexter.

No bodies washing up on shore.

That's the only spoilers I know or will address.

So how IS the episode?

Dexheads... I really don't know what to say.

At exactly 10:00pm ET on Sunday, September 22nd... The *beep* will hit the fan.

Emotional without emotion. Clever without being logical. Urgent without being intense. A little bit brilliant, a whole lotta stupid, an interesting conclusion, and an unsatisfying experience. In other words...

It's a mess. But when it hits, there's moments that stuck in your brain. Unfortunately these moments are too few and far between.

We finally get a Saxon that's insanely menacing. If THIS guy showed up in Episode 5 or 6, we'd have a villain worth getting excited over. Too little too late. His fate can be debated as clever, stupid, or anticlimactic.

Our cast does solid work, but nobody particularly swings for the fences. Given the emotional stakes, MCH is particularly subdued in certain key moments. Considering these season has been about Dexter embracing deep feelings and emotion, it's a unique choice for the actor and character. But this is the detail that intrigues me the most.

There's no doubt the episode has a lot of problems, and its going to be like Christmas for the haters, but what the ending has to say about the character of Dexter will be the hot topic of the day. Some will love the final resolution, some will call it the ultimate cop out, while others will question it's intention and meaning. It's not Sopranos vague by any stretch, but the final moment of the entire series has a unique impact.

When the end credits appear, there's definitely a feeling that Episode 12 should've been better. You can't shake the feeling of convenient logicr and questionable decisions. But after it begins to simmer in your brain, the good, and sometimes great, rises to the surface. Like Dexter, who is in constant conflict with his emotions and intentions, so is the finale.

I was intrigued, I was disappointed, I was touched emotionally, I was completely pissed off, I thought it showed flashes of brilliance and moments of absolute stupidity. I want to forget it, but it stayed with me.

A fitting and poignant end for the character of Dexter Morgan. A questionable, and debatable, end for the series.

Cut to black

idk. as a huge fan of Dexter, I have a feeling the finale is goin to fuckin suck. odds are there is gonna be some crazy/odd twist that no one saw comin. but it will fall flat, cuz it makes no sense.

maybe aside from season 8 bein so shitty. It jus bugs me cuz I always thought Dex would end up "payin" for his crimes. and for it to look like the series will end with Dex getting away scott free jus doesn't fit in my mind.

fuck it, we'll see tho

I think I'll make a Dexter (Seasons 1, 2, & 4 + other good parts) appreciation thread after it's all said and done.

This show could've been so much more but at least we got some really cool moments from everyone's favorite anti-hero. One of my favorite parts of this show was the music. Daniel Licht did a fucking great job throughout the series - Always had that nice, eerie sound to it. Hell, I still love the intro and think it's one of the best for a series.

Even Hannah McKay's fucking music was great:
