I WOULD WATCH A ZIGGY SOBOTKA SPINOFF

yeah, i take back what I said. A Ziggy spinoff would be interesting and definitely better than this shitty last season, nevermind a Deb spinoff

i only watched like the first two eps of this season and i still feel like I should sue

real talk tho. I was talkin to a friend of mine about the ending and the final few episodes. and this the conclusion I have come to...

the writers orginally went into writing for season 8 thinking there would be a season 9. but 3/4 into writing the season, Showtime came in and said season 8 would be the final season. but they were not given time to do re-writes. thus a rushed and shitty ending to the series.

Or I could jus be finding excuses, as to why one of my alltime fav shows turned to shit. smh

it sucked ass the last 4 seasons.

oh shit. looks like Dex will be a lumber jack by day and return to serial killing at night in Oregon. lol

In April 2013, Showtime president, David Nevins said that even though the series would end with Season 8, all options of continuing the series were "on the table". Original reports were for a series to be build around the Debra Morgan character although this was before it was known her character was killed off in the finale. Dexter's showrunner, Scott Buck re-signed with Showtime for two years which further heated up discussion on a spinoff series

On January 14, 2014, Nevins announced that they were in discussions for a spin-off series to Dexter. Nevins said that the series would not have any connection to the original series and they would only do it if Michael C. Hall returned. Nevins stated "We're at the very preliminary stage. That show is that character…and if I were to do something, I would do Dexter in a new concept and configuration. I want the show to feel different, not just a continuation of the old show."

What I'm saying is that's what the writers were calling it. A Dexter spinoff about Dexter. Not in marc's post but I couldn't believe they actually thought about that.

I have a feelin Michael C. Hall has mentally moved on from Dexter. So that aint happenin. unless Showtime/CBS makes him a offer he cant refuse.

Honestly, I wouldn't check for it. Like I stuck out the bad seasons after 4 just because really. I would have no interest in watching the show any more.
