It seems like a perfect storm of wack tho - the special effects, the lighting, the acting, the writing, the camerawork - everything feels cheaper and half-assed now. Compare the lush cinematography of the pilot to the cheap TV look of these last episodes. Its night and day.

That's what I forgot to point out - that was interesting. Not sure, though. Could be Max Clayton (the federal marshal) but I don't remember his voice that well.

As always there's the chance that it was someone who wasn't even talking to Dexter and could be used in some other context (i.e. Quinn: "I know what you're doing Dex").

Seems to be a Showtime trend. Weeds, Californication, and Dexter all just got progressively worse. I fear for House of Lies because Don Cheadle is killing over there.

i had to bring this back,thanks to this guy i stopped watching the show when i realized that he has a fair point.i am a stupid person.i've seen enough tv to know that this show wasn't going to end to whichever standards i had for it once.i mean disregarding this season its been 7 seasons in 7 years.7 season in 7 years?shit i can divide,that's one every let's say ummm 1,4 of them shit's were due,2 were meh the other was very dramatic, i mean thats a 1 hot season every 7 year average.so thank you again great noble sir,after 8 years of dedication to this show,you taught me some things are just not worth keeping.

from reading through this thread i have to say i am delighted that i got out when i did,to whoever is going to to the very end i salute you.it's been an epic struggle,and i'm sorry i couldn't make it to the end with everyone,but you are some true soldiers.i hope...i even pray,you manage to find some fulfillment out of this.i mean there's been so much cursing in here since i last read and reactions are getting angrier and angrier i'd just hate to have all this rage leading to some getting a sonny chiba backhand at a armadillo cull.there's no need for it.

I barely care what happens and I was a big dexter fan.They started good, but been fizzling last few eps.

I hope the finale is so good I forget how shabby the story has become
