Jay Z is just making it hard for himself crying foul with this Tidal shit. This complex article is a rouse for that. Nobody hates him he is just a old man not understanding how technology and money works. When you spend 20 years of your career rapping about drugs and money like a pigeon holed coon real business can hit you at a blur. He sound like a bitch when he say they are on a "smear campaign". Of course they are on a smear campaign. did kanye tell him 11 years ago he still a nigger in a coupe or a nigger in paris. either way he is a nigger to corporate america. I find it hypocritical he cant handle that dog eat dog fake republican shit he has been rapping and brainwashing his fans with for his whole career. This is the same man who derailed DMX comeback in 06, Stole LL Cool J rightful presidency, fucked and made fun of countless niggas baby mothers, broke up and sold the Roc and Got 106 and Park taken off the air. Amil? Beans? Jaz O? Dame? State Prop? Tru Life? All of those niggas were "fair" to Jay Z and he treated them how the industry is treating him now. Doug Morris? The Kochs? Trump? These white men are the same ones talking shit about TIdal and his reputation as drug dealer when he was calling them friends on his earlier albums. For a nigga to have 500 million dollars, hip hop regality and a beautiful wife he is SENSITIVE as fuck. If thats what "success" is let me stay poor with my old records and hittin fat bitches on Tagged. All that money and still not happy

nas-mobb-deep-o.gif

One of your finer works.

Jay fell off after Black album. He's had moments since (Grammy Family freestyle, WTT, fuxwithme) but post-retirement he's been Brandon Roy on the wolves. Plus, the higher you go the more them Republicans stop skinning their teeth with you. I'm interested to see how this Tidal thing works out than new music. #FactsOnly

@tompetrez3

Now I got to go listen to Its Mine cuz of you

"silk shirts on my chest show what a flirt

Halle Berry blew a kiss at the Barbara Streisand concert

Silk pants colored pink, gators match gangster musical thing

And I'll front like my doo doo don't stink

Instinct like Cuba Gooding steppin out the latest toy

Hazard lights blinkin, gators hit the floor

Everybody watch the red carpet entrance, cameras flashin

Just to think, that was yesterday's action

Cause today goes either way - we came a long way

From hallway steps and hand-me-down shit

Fuck my foes, I seen the other side, NexTel cell roam

Call the chopper phone, heliport in my home

Quincy Jones posters

Wake up, guns under my pillow, I can't talk around chauffeurs

Shit is better than a novel, autobiographic

Spit it on tracks, it becomes classic

Start some, make my heart pump, spark one, I'm God son

NAStradamus, last one to blast one when the NARC's come

Know how to leave anything in thirty seconds

When you feel the heat, comin and flee with the murder weapon

I'll release one, shot you deceased, learn your lesson

Your flesh turn to maggots, bastards, you past it

Cremate your flesh to ashes

You don't need a suit, no wake, no funeral, and no casket"

Its interesting because 15 years ago jay could do no wrong and nas was almost universally despised in hip hop circles....

So ill do it first because as i have said many times on here...its nearly impossible to measure nas' career without putting it next to jay z and vice versa...in every category of modern culture and business there is a ying yang effect...

Getting to the point...simply jays corporate ambitions dont lend well to a new generation...us in our 30's love that a black man is doing big things in the music industry and partnering with billion dollar corporations...

But for those in their 20's...all they heard during their formative and adult years was that corporations are evil and overproduced, sparkling music was the devil (which jay z is unfairly known for)...its why mid 90's rap and underground sounding projects have resurged...

Now he want to take on spotify which how many millenials get there music without having to pay....

Nas, on the other hand, can do no wrong in hip hop circles (despite the fact he would do the same thing if he were in jays shoes)....along with wu, he is the champion of the boom bap, only cares about the product, and is unafraid to speak strongly on issues affecting common people...

Now is this close to being the truth...probably not, but it is about perception

Lol@ niggas using jay electronica as a leverage point in this discussion like jay electronica out here rapping about having a "bucket of frozen water on his chest" and " my jeans is 300"...

What the fuck is Jay E gonna do? He doesn't have a increment of the monetary power that jay z has...

Jay z can definitely do more than what he's been doing..I hate words like "philanthropy"..Those are just fancy words snobbish white people use to make themselves sound like they doing something

Muthafucka uplifting humanity should come naturally when you see all this suffering in this world

But nah you satisfied with your idol jay z releasing another album bragging how much wealthier he is than you, rubbing that shit in your peasant face eh?

Soulless ass niggas

Fuck giving money and food after tragedies happen...

How about building something that prevents the crime or heals the community and keeps it in good health...

So it's Jay-Z's responsibility to reverse the socioeconomic factors and systemic failures that lead to crime and the crumbling of our communities.. Aite

Jayz is a excellent wordsmith and a savy, albeit cutthroat, business man

However all in all,his mentality is very Eurocentric

He has even referred to himself as euro jay in the past...

He doesn't truly give a fuck about black people..

He's a melaninated white man...He follows the doctrine of Crowley and those luciferian "do as thou wilt" muthafuckas...That shit has no place amongst activists who are attempting to bring harmony on this planet

I know it hurts yall lil heart that your successful idol is a money thirsty sellout..

Great lyricist..wack human being

Unless you've met a person..sat with them face to face to see where their heart is at..where their mind is at..where their spirit is at.. How can you say that with such confidence? Cosign him being Eurocentric though

Those feelings u in got u exposing your skirt. Calm down, princess. Maybe you're right. Jay Electronica can't "uplift humanity" like those multimillionaires, except others have done it with far less. What's interesting, at least to me, is that Gandhi, Malcolm, Martin, Mother Theresa, etc. all brought about change without a gang of money. So the real question is what are u doing to improve the world, instead of bitching on a hip hop forum about what someone else is doing??

Ain't no "especially" . Anybody can be a leader and it doesn't take money. Jay z is just an easy target.

Also, did you do extensive research into the contributions Jay-Z is making and just didn't find anything?

Or did you not hear about any contributions so you assumed they were inadequate?

Jay is hated because of one thing...... His success.... The most successful black ppl in any urban form (rap/athletes) are always the most hated nobody hates the underdog everybody hates the guys on top.....case closed

All of you have to do is recognize the energy they put out..from the heart the mouth speaks...if you co sign him being euro centric then you recognize on a spiritual level where jay's modus operandi lies...

I sit with jay every time I play one of his albums or listen to his interviews..

Open your eye,god..dont allow your "eye" to become stiff

If you're a man then you have a X chromosome

Like jay E said in a rhyme..that X is the womb-man,you came up out her...so miss me with that princess shit..i use both masculine and feminine energy in my circle..BOTH,nigga...the X and the Y...You niggas think the feminine energy isn't powerful that's why you try to use "princess" as a insult..

You cannot compare those figures to jayz because they resonated at different wavelengths in different eras of time..those figures were activated on a higher spiritual level than jayz...Jayz mostly resonates on the root chakra..MLK or Malcolm wasnt rapping about crack..Plus they weren't dealing with the advanced devilishment in this particular high tech matrix we're currently in

Even spiritual teachers need elements of the material plane to progress in their missions because they are living and trying to reach people in a material world...Think!

I'm doing the best I can with the hand I've been dealt..I'm a herbalist that spreads healing thru teaching about diet and spiritual information...

In this particular matrix,it DOES take money to accomplish certain things..You are fooling yourself if you think otherwise...You can use your spiritual energy and creativity to draw the money to you..They work hand in hand..And no anybody cannot be a leader..A leader has to be raised to a higher consciousness to be a leader...People follow people who have mastered something..There are leaders on all kinds of levels...leaders of street gangs, leaders of politics, leaders of academics etc...Some people don't have the heart or drive to become leaders, they are defective..

I see his contributions but I think they are inadequate...thats my opinion tho...jay is a god of his lil universe and has a right to live in it as he sees fits...i just think on a human level its fake...
