No one hates Jay. People are just disappointed in his work - his main domain - because outside of "American Gangster", everything he made post-retirement has been average at best.

People respect the business side of him, cause he's done some pretty extraordinary things (the Nets, Tidal, Roc Nation Sports, etc….) but the artist side make you question why is he even still making music?

Collectively, African Americans have this insane view of success. We all strive for it. We all claim to want to see someone from the hood that looks like us, acts like us, has our same story make it to the top.
