I'll be playing this competitively when the full version drops, I'll likely pick up Feilong, Evil Ryu and Dudley.

@Bcotton5‌ I don't wanna hear anymore excuses fam, and understand that all my vids are pre-recorded so when you talk bullshit about lag, button mashing, hand slips, it's the controller and all that shit, just know that nobody will give a shit while they watch me drop yo ass left and right. I just want to be clear and just to spite you I'll have Pusha T's Exodus 23:1 playing as the audio....

You're a decent player but you're predictable and play in patterns. AKA easy to read and figure out. You aint that good just so-so. I think it's been largely established in the Arcade that I'm the Game King and one of the top tier players in fighting games.

You got an XBone Sion?

New balance update announced lol, Edition Select coming to online for endless battle!

Combofiend: Ultra Street Fighter 4 balancing isn't finished, cites issues with Yun, Seth & Dee Jay - Edition Select coming online via update

12_usf4update2.jpg

There's an update to Ultra Street Fighter 4 in the works, but it may just address hit box issues and bugs that have been discovered.

During a panel at EVO 2014, Capcom's Peter "Combofiend" Rosas reportedly said balance work isn't finished yet on the game, specifically citing issues with Yun, Seth and Dee Jay.

Despite these statements, it's not confirmed that another balance patch will be available for USF4, once again, outside of fixing bugs and hit box problems.

In positive news though, Edition Select, which lets you select any version of the characters from the SF4 series will be making its way online.

Also, the option to make the training dummy perform a delayed wake up will also be added into the game, via a future update.

During the panel, Capcom showed off how the tier lists look in the U.S. and Japan, which MetalMusicMan took a photo of.

Capcom said they're looking into online issues, but there's nothing concrete to talk about, yet.

There was no confirmed timeline for the Edition Select, delay standing mechanic in training mode, and hitbox/bug fixes to be made available, but they're expected to come soon.

Street Fighter: World Warrior, the sequel to Assassin's Fist, announced at San Diego Comic-Con; Chun-Li, Sagat, Guile and more set to appear

25_sfworldwarrior.jpg

The team behind the live-action Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist series has just announced that there is a sequel in the works.

Deemed "Street Fighter: World Warrior," the new series is currently in development and is set for late 2015/early 2016 launch time.

According to director Joey Ansah, the new series will introduce more characters from the Street Fighter universe, and will be larger-scale production than Assassin's Fist.

"The scale of World Warrior is much larger, picking up where Assassin's Fist left off as we follow Ryu and Ken on their 'Musha Shugyo' (warrior's pilgrimage)," said Ansah. "The Shadaloo criminal cartel will be introduced, led by the extremely dangerous M.Bison, which will naturally lead into the World Warrior tournament… and we all know what this means - fan favourites Guile, Chun-li, Sagat and Co. will be playing a big part!"

Producer Mark Wooding states that World Warrior will explore some "big and primal themes," and notes that this installment will be a dark tale driven by the characters, their stories, and their problems.

Additionally, Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist is receiving an international DVD and Blu-Ray release, as well as video-on-demand and download-to-own, in the Fall of this year. The DVD/Blu-Ray versions of Street Fighter: World Warrior will include an exclusive "Epilogue" episode, along with extras, deleted scenes, and director commentary.

"We have gone the extra mile to ensure that the DVD/Blu-ray is packed with extras and exclusive content, to make it a 'must own' for fans who have already enjoyed the series on other formats. The Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist journey is not complete until you have watched this version," said Joey Ansah.

Disc release in stores now a update came out with it today, theres undocumented changes and fixes included with the patch ill post them in here

Ultra Street Fighter 4's August 8 patch contains unlisted changes to Rolento, Decapre and possibly other characters

08_rolento_decapre.jpg

On top of fixing the bugs that Capcom mentioned in a change log, the August 8 update patch for Ultra Street Fighter 4 contains a few other additional changes to Rolento, Decapre and possibly other characters, according to a conversation BE|Nemo shared with a number of other Japanese FGC members on Twitter.

Specifically, BE|Nemo and other Rolento players have noticed that the character can no longer follow-up with a standing MP attack after launching their opponent with an EX Stinger special move. You can, however, still connect with a jump MP after EX Stinger; forward+MK will also work in the corner. All other normal attack moves will not connect.

Another member of the Japanese FGC has also noticed that Decapre's Psycho Sting and Ultra Combo 2 moves have had their required charge-up time increased by 10 frames. Unlike the change to Rolento, however, Decapre's increased charge times on her moves have not yet been verified by another member of the FGC -- this change is unconfirmed, for now.

BE|Nemo: What the... Standing MP can no longer be connected after EX Stinger, is this for real?

Dogura: Eh? It's been adjusted?

BE|Nemo: After an EX Stinger, MP won't connect anymore. (Laughs)

For some reason, MP won't connect after the knives hit... I wonder if hidden changes were made to other characters.

kunai_camm: It looks like the charge time for Decapre's Psycho Sting and UC2 has been extended by 10 frames... all these nerfs make me sad.

Dogura: This was changed today?

BE|Nemo: Yep. (Laughs)

Dogura: Was something like this announced officially?

BE|Nemo: It was only announced that they were removing some bugs in the same patch that added the new costumes.

Dogura: So MP connecting after that move was a bug, huh... that's so strange...

BE|Nemo: No, that change went unannounced. What was announced were things like Blanka's MK having lesser hit-stop frames on counter-hit.

Well, this change isn't anything compared to Decapre getting longer charge times for her special moves, or Hugo's crouching LP being reduced to -2F disadvantage, though.

(TL Note: The Hugo change that Nemo mentioned was the one made in v1.01 of the arcade version of Ultra Street Fighter 4, we believe)

The Hugo "low parry" bug mentioned earlier today was also an unlisted change made in the August 8 patch. EventHubs's very own Steven "Dreamking23" Chavez and François Degryse (@HarryCodder) have confirmed that the bug can no longer be reproduced.

If you spot any other unlisted changes made in the August 8 patch, please let us know in the comments below.

Undocumented change confirmed: Charge time on Decapre's Ultra 2 increased in Ultra Street Fighter 4 after patch

08_ehtests.jpg

Just about an hour ago, we posted a story here on EventHubs that included a few undocumented changes made in the latest Ultra Street Fighter 4 patch. A player by the name of kunai_camm mentioned that Decapre's Psycho Sting and Ultra 2 had their charge times increased, but without visual proof, it was merely an unconfirmed report.

Considering the changing of a move's charge time can be difficult to test out in-game, the DreamKing (that's me!) took it upon himself to try and confirm this claim. While Psycho Sting does feel as though it takes a bit longer to charge, we cannot say it is so with certainty.

However, we can confirm that the anti-air version of Decapre's DCM (Ultra 2) has undergone an increase in charge time. Using a specific combo that requires tight timing to land U2 at the end, we were able to confirm this undocumented change.

In the following video, you will see a combo performed on Dee Jay both pre-patch and post-patch. In the former, the U2 hits with no problem, but in the latter you will see that the U2 no longer comes out.

After several attempts to hit the U2, I noticed that, more often than not, the ground version of DCM would come out instead of the air version. I could not get the anti-air DCM out by any means, however.

A similar combo was used to test the charge time: Target combo (MP-HK), U2 (anti-air version). This combo used to work before the update, but now suffers the same fate as the combo featured in the video.

Ultra Street Fighter 4 update (PS3/X360/Arcade) on August 8 removes Poison's while-rising glitch, Rolento's invisible wall jump, and more

07_usf4patchnotes.jpg

Following the release of Ultra Street Fighter 4 in Japan today, Capcom has announced that an update patch that addresses a number of known bugs will be released tomorrow, August 8, for the PS3, X360 and arcade versions of the game.

This update is not a rebalance patch, but rather fixes some of unintended properties on a number of characters' moves. Most notably, with this update, Rolento's invisible wall jump and Poison's while-rising glitch will be removed.

Check out our translations of the fixes or changes below.

Note: An earlier version of this story had said that this update was the bug fix patch for Ultra Street Fighter 4 that Capcom's Peter "Combofiend" Rosas announced back at EVO 2014.

According to EventHubs reader TheTimelyHoward, this is not the case as some of the fixes mentioned are not implemented. The August 8 patch, however, will fix a number of known bugs, as listed below.

Blanka

- Crouching MK: On counter-hit the advantage on hit is now +8F instead of +5F. This was achieved by reducing the duration of the hit stop animation on Blanka's side (originally the hit-stop duration was the same on both Blanka and his opponent)

Vega

- Flying Barcelona Special: Made it so that the Rolling Izuna Drop special would connect even if the opponent was struck with Vega's knee during the upward rising motion when he is in the corner (TL note: if Vega's opponent is jumping in the corner, even if the upward motion hits, there's no way to connect Rolling Izuna Drop previously).

M. Bison

- Red Focus Attack/EX Red Focus Attack: Under certain special circumstances, there is now a 1 point damage difference between M. Bison's Lv1 Red Focus Attack and his EX Red Focus Attack.

El Fuerte

- Close standing LP: The chain-cancelled version of this move used to have a smaller hitbox than the regular version; this has been changed so that it's the same regardless if you're using the standard version or chain-cancelled version of the move.

Seth

- Tanden Storm: When the opponent is downed by any hit other than the final hit in this super move, there was a bug that prevented Delayed Standing from being performed -- this has been fixed.

Fei Long

- Crouching LK: When chain-cancelled, this move's active frames would activate 1F earlier than usual -- this has been fixed.

Dee Jay

- Medium Jackknife Maximum: On counter-hit, this move used to do less damage than the normal-hit version -- this has been fixed.

Hakan

- Crouching LK: When chain-cancelled, this move's recovery would gain an additional 1F -- this has been fixed.

Juri

- Far standing LK: When chain-cancelled, this move's active frames would activate 1F later than usual -- this has been fixed.

Yang

- Close and far standing LK: When chain-cancelled, this move's active frames would activate 1F later than usual -- this has been fixed.

Evil Ryu

- EX Hurricane Kick: Under certain conditions, this move would not connect against a portion of the roster.

Oni

- Focus Attack/Red Focus Attack: The hurtbox for Oni's Red Focus Attack has been expanded so that it's now the exact same save as the one in his regular Focus Attack.

Poison

- When standing from crouching motion: A bug that made Poison's hurtbox around her legs temporarily disappear during this motion has been fixed.

- Close standing LP and LK, far standing LK, crouching LP and LK: The chain-cancelling input window for these moves had been different from the ones for other characters -- this has been corrected.

- Crouching LP: When chain-cancelled, this move's active frames would activate 1F later than usual -- this has been fixed.

- Far standing LK: When chain-cancelled, this move's active frames would stay active for 1F longer than usual. Also, the move's recovery had an additional 3F. Both properties have been fixed.

Rolento

- Mekong Delta Escape: Fixed a bug where Rolento would be able to use this move to jump off of an invisible wall.

Hugo

- Standing LP: When chain-cancelled, this move's recovery would have +3F added to it -- this has been fixed.

- Crouching LP: When chain-cancelled, this move's recovery would have -3F less than the regular non-chain-cancelled version -- this has been fixed.

- Focus Attack/Red Focus Attack: During the part of the animation when Hugo releases his Focus Attack/Red Focus Attack, a hurtbox in the area around Hugo's legs has been added.

Decapre

- EX Scramble (Light+Medium): When used at a certain timing, the EX version could not be activated -- this has been fixed.

- Focus Attack/Red Focus Attack: The hurtbox on Decapre's Red Focus Attack has been expanded to match the one with her regular Focus Attack.
