there's an American gangster about Hoover too

I know everybody mad about Harrow but they gave his character more love than any other. No other character, not even Jimmy, got that much screen time. He even got the romanticized dream sequence which I think shows that he did actually transition to a place of peace. Again, no other character got that. With everybody else, when you die, they showed how you died and moved on.

And Narcisse suffered a fate worse than death.

Chalky got it worse than anyone. He actually saw his daughter's eyes close for the last time, up close.

He'll never be the same.

Yeah, I don't see Chalky lasting past next season. As another parallel to Omar, when the dude that was closest to him got killed, he went on a reckless rampage. I can see something similar happening with Chalky.

This ruined the entire season for me it's one thing to kill off a character that lived that kind of life, but to have him kill Maybelle tho? Gillian will be back, Margaret will be back, Eli still breathing.

Only saving grace is that Narcisse will be back, Jeffrey Wright is too good to only have for one season.

I think the writers may have missed an opportunity with Knox I could see him going the Van Alden route.

Exact reason Knox couldn't have lived, though. There's already one Van Alden. Don't need this Oppie looking ass gimp shadowing his gangsta anymore than he already did. The Van Alden route was too predictable. Extra disgust at Nucky not capping Eli, though. Weakest moment of the whole episode was Will bringing his monkey ass in the scene.

Also, not *clap* my *clap* nigga *clap* Harrow! Laaaaaaaaaaaawd Dunn and now Harrow? And Narcisse is coming back. Ugh. Hope they bring in Garvey or some Harlem players for him to snake.

hoover no, this is right around the time the fbi went to war with organized crime and gangstas/bank robbers

actually the FBI didn't start investigating organized crime officially until after the Appalachian meeting....and that was in 1957

Lol at Rothstein tickling Margaret's cyborg kid at the end

They can't bring in Garvey. They've shown actual footage of him, and its not an actor. Unless they cloning mfers, they cant go that route. I see a young Bumpy Johnson connection tho.......... Narcisee and him going at it for control of Harlem.

Saw the finale earlier today. First time I yelled at a TV for a show in YEARS when my dude Harrow got hit, cause I knew he wasn't goin make it.

Damned good season finale. Now that Breaking bad is gone, I think this episode catapults BE into the top slot for best show on TV.

Nothing much else to say, cause @Ounceman said it all. LMAO @ Nuck telling the mayor to get the fuck out of his own office tho...

Apparently, Winter wants Leo on the show

Leonardo DiCaprio is a very busy man these days. And he may become busier if “Boardwalk Empire” creator Terence Winter casts him in HBO’s Prohibition-era drama. A Nov. 25 report from The Wrap said that Winter would love the idea, even if it was just a cameo.

“That would be awesome,” Winter said. “I never even thought to ask him because he’s so unbelievably busy. That [“The Great Gatsby”] was his fourth movie in a row and I believe he was going to take some time off, so that wasn’t even a possibility. But God, if he would ever do it? I obviously would welcome that. We got Martin Scorsese to do it. Why not?”

DiCaprio and Winter worked together on Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street,” which releases to theaters on Christmas Day. And Scorsese, an executive producer for “Boardwalk Empire,” has casted DiCaprio in many of his films, including Oscar winners “The Departed” and “The Aviator.” “The Wolf of Wall Street” marks the fifth time that Scorsese and DiCaprio have partnered for a film.

This wouldn’t be DiCaprio’s first venture into television. The 39-year-old actor had roles in “Growing Pains” and the 1990s version of “Parenthood,” when he was in his teens.

“Boardwalk Empire” just finished its fourth season and will return for a fifth in the fall of 2014.

i can see this happening. esp. due to the leo-scorsese connection

Leo as a cold blooded mercenary. Gun for hire whos path crosses with Nucky. Something totally outside the roles he's done. Doesn't even have to be a major role just come in 3 episodes a season, do a job and leave.

The actor that played Jimmy reminded me of Leo a little bit.

Leo was probably who they had in mind to play that role.....but knew that couldn't happen so they settled for someone similar looking.

No.....they went to war with Baby face nelson and John Dillinger in the 30's. They were after all bank robbers and some prohibitions folks.

Hoover and Public enemy number 1 ect ect

I cant trust this show, they have a history of killing off all the trill characters...now that Van Alden is getting his gangsta on..he may be next on the chopping block
