The interscope machine and the fact that he knew how to sell that "make fun of other famous people" gimmick. Having Dr. Dre's cosign is also another big part of it. I can agree with the poster who said that he acts just like a regular dude who got famous, I actually like that about him. He's also an undeniably talented rapper. Eminem's marketable because he's Pop artist that happens to Rap. When you are able to combine the most popular genre of music (Rap) with a format that is universal (Pop), it's basically a no brainer as to why he is able to sell that amount of copies that he does. Add in the fact that he had a Dre co-sign. He doesn't have a niche audience like the Bubba's, Paul Wall's, Asher Roths, and Yelawolf's.
