I stopped believing early, like 3-4 if i remember right. I woke up at what seemed pretty late and walked into the bathroom we shared cause I heard noise and probably had to go. Their door was open and they were wrapping gifts.

After that point, it was more about what presents i'm going to get. I'd tell everybody what I wanted and hope for the best. The Santa watch on the news and leaving out cookies was just fun for a bit because it was something to look forward to, a tradition if you will.

But honestly, the whole thought of believing something like that is warm-hearted and all but also pretty retarded. Maybe its best to save kids that embarrassment when they finally find out they believed something that dumb. But kids should love cartoons and imagination, no doubt, and folk tales are great ways of introing it.

I know all about imagination. I got a 14 year old who still wants to be reincarnated into pokemon world, her imagination is off the chain(she's a lefty), but she knew from the hop santa, easter bunny, all that was utter bullshit. She still got all the stuff, do the 'normal' things people do on those days but when my oldest asked me straight up looking me dead in the eye if those things are actually real? I couldn't lie and I could tell she appreciated the honesty. If other people wanna keep up the charade with their kids, fine so be it it's your kids, but don't expect me to lie if they should so happen to ask me.
