Now do you mean take them off the machine or administer doctor aided suicide.

If the former, yes, if the latter, no. Everyone has their day, God knows, I don't.

My sister took care of her husband's grandmother while she had a serious case of dementia. She was given the option to put the grandmother to rest but she elected to take care of her until her final breath. Amazing example of compassion. Seeing her do that for her husband's grandmother was pretty eye opening.

I've told my wife, my dad and my brothers if I'm ever only being kept alive by machines to pull the plug. I don't wanna be kept alive like that and as hard as it'd be I could tell the doctor to pull the plug on a family member if it was their wish to do so

lol some of y'all are funny.

like a poster said its more to pulling the plug than someone being kept alive by a machine. pulling the plug is the refusal of anything that may prolong or save a person's life. its a hard decision and one that sticks with u FOREVER if u have to do it.

my mom had pancreatic cancer. the doctor told it was nothing they could do but my first thought was to find better doctors and a better hospital and drug that insurance or money could buy. we sat and talked and she told me about one of her best friends who had cancer and how she did chemo and she withered away. she said i honestly think it sped up her death. she then asked me when do i start chemo? i said we not doing it. she said the doctor said i didn't have long didn't he? i said nah he said u gotta fight. she fought for a few more weeks. she died in her sleep about an hour after i hugged her and kissed her and said i love u. i love u too she said.

its a decision i think about every single day. i may have been able to prolong her life. its not what she wanted though and its not what i wanted. im at peace with it although many of my family members think i made the wrong decision.

The time where they pull the plug til the time the person dies is not a fun spot. Especially when they still squeeze your hands and stuff like that.
