I'm a certified crisis intervention specialist (I know...that wasn't the question)

And I can provide instructions over the phone for CPR.

nice name for 911 operator

Those are two different hats. There are dispatchers who sit across from me who are not crisis intervention specialists because they didn't go to school for the certification. The same way every cop is not an evidence technician....or a marksman. Every psychologist is not a psychiatrist. Capisce?

capisce?

I like that type salad. isnt it Greek?

you gonna fight me ...aint you?

soon as you see me..it's hair in a ponytail knuckling up...am I right?

So youre the helpdesk for choking humans

Im CPR certified and know the Heimlich, never had to use either

Also can provide a mean uppercut (from the core) if needed

Yeah but I'm an asshole. If they're not immediate family I'm not helping. I'd rather let nature take its course. So uuhhhh don't choke or go into cardiac arrest in front of me because I won't help

No. Heimlich manuvere would probably be the easiest to do without any training.

With CPR you could break a person ribs and cause internal injuries.

Thats letting you know youre doung it right. Would you rather have some broken ribs, or clean ribs in a casket?

I'm not but I would call 911 and do what the operator tells me to do until real help arrives.

My son is and has saved 3 people's lives as a life guard. Two kids from almost drowning and one lady who passed out because of a heat stroke

nope not certified.....I know enough to be of some assistance, which I would offer so long as it didnt put my family in harms way.....if IM gonna be in harms way, shit really depends on the emergency and my skill level

on a completely different note.....for you all that ARE certified.....is there some law that says you HAVE to stop for accidents and emergencies and wait for EMT's??? I had a temp run that shit on me one day for not showing up and always wanted to know lol

No

Have any first responders been traumatized by anything job-related?

And if so, how long did it take for you to get back to "normal"?

you cant get sued its called the good samaritan law. anyway im cpr, blood pathogens, and first aid trained. and defibrillator trained too. we have to take these classes once a year. its cool when you only have to do a refresher coarse but when you have to do the full blown course that shits like eight hours.

I'm BLS and ALS certified. Have to do it yearly. I can work most portable defribillators.

I was an Internal Medicine resident and at my hospital (and most hospitals I think) we were required to respond to every single Code Blue (when a patient is not responding and/or has lost a pulse) in the hospital so I've done CPR on dozens of fuckers.

I seen sum shit.

If a sexy lady breaks her titties and needs me to suck on them then I will be first to take action, I could do with learning that shit tho I took a CPR course about 10 years ago and can't remember shit.
