Now, i don't agree with the whole using violence or aggressively attacking others to get what we want, even if our people has been through so much. The way some of you stated would be a better and more beneficial approach...

I can't say that. It's just that black folks have become so passive these days. Really fucking passive. Even MLK decided to get up and take those beatings while they marched. Our people won't even do that now. We don't stand for ours because we don't have pride, which is linked to character, which is linked to identity. but you need everybody to actually see you're vision and what you hope to achieve and making it beneficial for everyone..

because along the lines, people either get lazy, rebellious or just down right disrespectful... and i know it's hard to get everybody on the same page, but if you get people to be 100% then the outcome will be more successful

You can say that we are African American" but most of us don't want anything to do with the continent. We also tend to label ourselves as a "Christian" or "Muslim" before anything else. The people that immigrate to the America have a culture or a nationality. They are set in their ways about how to operate and have a plan. The Korean's dominate the hair care industry, that our women pour billions of dollars into every year. The Arab's control the gas stations and pizza spots. The Indians have the hotels on lock. The Vietnamese run the nail salons and the Dominican's found a lane with the beauty salons. People from the continent...there are too many nationalities to name. They run the hair braiding shops and taxi cabs. I can go on and on.

I live in the DC area, so this is what I see. We don't trust each other enough to pool our money together and build something. We have enough economic power to do so. We would rather steal from each other, than build with each other. There are plenty of black businesses, but we need to find a lane that other nationalities will pour their money into. No handouts will be given and no Messiah is coming to save us.

i understand what you mean though... In terms of culture, i think that african americans do have culture but it's bombarded by things like religion, multi-culturalism, negative stereotypes..etc
