"We got to do something about these Asians coming in and opening up businesses and dirty shops," Barry said. "They ought to go. I'm going to say that right now. But we need African-American businesspeople to be able to take their places, too."

I agree 1000% with the bolded statements, its always some other race in the hood eating off us

You have to factor in the city politics behind this. It's not like black entreprenuers aren't out there, but the city places much more lenient enforcement of codes than would a Black business opening up in the same area.

no doubt, I'm not saying obstacles arent put ahead of us. Im saying it's not impossible to be done. Time spent complaining, talking about it, adressing the issue or whateva u want to call it takes away from time bn spent on openin one up a store of our own. Those Arabs cant make you shop with them. I promise you a grocery store not too far away. If you want them gone, they'll go away.

Shopping at another franchise or chain isn't going to solve the issue. It's more than obstacles too, because their have been Black owners that have opened up a little food spot or a store int he hood and they'll have the city all up in their ass trying to find violations and fine them, and that's if they even get licensed int he first place.

However they'll walk right by some dirty ass chinese food spot with health code violations out the ass.

The only black people i've seen pull off their own businesses successfully as far as food and stores go are those caribbean food joints. In atlanta and chi those seem to be able to stay open without too much trouble.

Wing spots though you can wrap that up. I don't wanna hear about how Black people aint tryin to make it happen because all duns talk about is how to make bread what we gonna do to make some bread. Them arab and chinese niggas set up shop within the community and don't hire no one from within the community so they drain every dollar out and eat off of it and bringing other family members over for that come up.

I hear what you sayint hough about not shopping at these establishments, but where else you gonna go. In lawndale that's all thats around there food, clothes, phone all owned by arabs, same thing on on michigan ave on the south side all arab owned stores. people are gonna shop where they live. 2 am and you to buy some black n milds or hit up the late night food spot ,you gonna go to the place around the way or hop in the car for a journey?

it's funny, because these immigrants come from countries where 50 - 80% of their people are under the poverty line and they come over to North America, and they create jobs, businesses for themselves and they are able to make their business last for over 20 years...
