Why does Recovery get so much hate?

Lol it's hilarious that there are people that actually feel like it's impossible to not be an Em fan at this point in his career unless you're racist. Like his new whiny voice, poppy beats, & constant singing couldn't possibly be the reason.

i hated the last two eminem albums, mm2 and shady xv....however around here even marshall mathers and slim shady albums get dumped on...and the reasons afterwards are along the lines of...white, cracker, blah blah blah...if you don't like the album, critique it, thats fine but the other stuff isn't needed, makes the persons opinion less valid

Decent album. I'd rate it as Ems 4th best.

Then again I'm only a big fan of his for his top 3 albums and a handful of other songs he's done.

Why should we love Recovery?

I remember when Not Afraid hit the radio most EM fans were strongly disappointed felt he had gone too mainstream. They were willing to let Relapse go (started losing fans then IMHO) and give him another chance.

Felt it was too pop and out of place

college dropout is good, i've always said that, but late registration is doo doo grits....you can't compare kanye to eminem, kanye isn't on eminems level with heart or lyrics...not to mention he ain't the producer he once was either

Im one of the biggest EM fans on the forum (shoutout to shadyteam) , but Ive been giving homie alot of flack the past couple years for "falling off". But after watching "top 5" , I kindve understand now. He was the first person I thought of while watching that. He's still in my top 5-8 any given day.

As far as Recovery , it was a decent project. I fucked with seduction and the joint with Weezy and a few others, with that being said Relapse >>>> Recovery.

he's aged the worst out of all the 90's MC's who're still mainstream relevant, not only skillwise but musically as well
