Why does Recovery get so much hate?

I actually liked the album a lot, one of his best albums

as a fan of dude, most eminem albums age like milk. recovery was em's first official pop album. it sounded like he was trying to keep up with the times with his beat selection and annoyingly catchy hooks instead of being himself. he turned into what he spent his whole career up to that point dissing

factor in the god awful punchlines and corny singles this album produced *not afraid, love the way you lie*

yeah just blaze and dj khalil laced him with heat but those songs had little replay value after their release. so bad and cold wind blows are the only songs I still fuck with. it just wasn't a good album

The album I think is underrated is relapse. content may not be what you normally want to hear but lyrically he killed it. he got killed for the accent but I think the accent went well with his flow. I rather he came out with that relapse 2 instead. He got killed for that album badly so he cancelled relapse 2 and took the easier route and made a typical pop album that white people would eat up

Eminem's best album, and the album that has aged the best, is Eminem Show. I think that is his most underrated album because while people recognize that it's good, it's always mentioned after MMLP. MMLP is great, and FOR IT'S TIME it had a much bigger impact...but top to bottom Eminem Show is clearly superior.

As for Recovery, it's decent. He tried forcing way too many punchlines, but at least he had some serious subject matter.

To much yelling and forced lines. I was disappointed being a huge em fan. Relapse was actually good but the accent makes you not vibe to it. The beats and lyrics were on point. If has another album under raps I hope is done by dre and he is the one creating the songs not pre made shit

Someone had it right. He was doing a pop album which still ended up better than all those other drake ass and Company albums.

So college dropout and late registration is weak but this album is "excellent" smh reason niggas

college dropout is good, i've always said that, but late registration is doo doo grits....you can't compare kanye to eminem, kanye isn't on eminems level with heart or lyrics...not to mention he ain't the producer he once was either

kanye's been trending downward for years now, eminem at least had a bump in his stock after this album
