Recovery is great.

8/10 album only downside was the production. His worst produced album ever. Em never produced a song on the album. Em over his own production>>>>>

Going Through Changes

Spacebound

Seduction

Talkin To Myself

Not Afraid

So Bad

Love The Way You Lie

Ridaz

You're Never Over

Cold Wind Blows

No Love

Almost Famous

All 10/10 songs

Album had substance covered alot of deep issues like over coming drug addiction, relationships, love, domestic abuse, fame, losing best friend. Album is catchy through out

Em gets so much hate on this board.

I pride myself in not being racist at all.

I got lots of black friends, my gf is black , my top 5 mc s are black except Em who's at 4.

So is it just racist hate that some of y'all hate??

It has nothing to do with race. Eminem is a top 10 lyricist maybe even top 5 (depends on everyone's taste) but what keeps him from anyone taking him serious is for every "Like Toy Soliders" or "Sing for the moment" track he has, he has a "Just Lose it" or that God awful "Fack" joint he thought would be a good idea.

I like em n have high praises for him as a rapper, I agree with this 100%. I struggle with taking em serious sometimes, some of his goofy tracks are beyond annoying n repetitive but thats part of him being creative so I guess u get the good w the bad. As for "recovery" I thought it was a great album, but I go into every EM album already anticipating a few corny joints so I just skip em..that was the case w "wtp n so bad"

In retrospect, that's my only gripe with the album. Em always had some annoying glitch in his rhymes (the rape jokes/celebrity disses in his first few years, the accents in Encore/Relapse, the corny punchlines in Recovery/MMLP2), but it's on the listener to let that get in the way of what he's really saying. I looked in my iPod the other day, and Recovery got the most replay out of any Em album I had (not counting the first 3, I was able to recite them line for line before I even had an iPod). Really, it was a combination of bad timing (niggas was turnt up in 2010, ain't nobody was tryna hear that uplifting sober shit) and Em's turn to the pop sound that made niggas hate that album. As a standalone album it's meh... but an Em fan can appreciate the growth he showed as they themselves grew up.

I never knew that it did. It was pretty much universally loved when it came out. I really liked it, even though I actually felt Relapse more. He went deeper and darker on the B sides than ever before for a studio album.

I think he talks about that stuff on all his albums. The execution varies though.
