WHY DIDN'T JAY-Z RESPOND TO CAM DIS
Well isn't it obvious. He didn't see "You Gotta love It" as response worthy, and lets face it, it wasn't.
Lets look at his reasons for dissing in the first place:

stole rocwear: Niggas sold that shit
Already addressed.
Cam also says he dissing because he saw that diamond thrown up. Gasp! My God, is he suggesting Jay-Z had something to do with his shooting?
What happened to this?

Jay-Z saw it as a ploy for attention.

Keep in mind this was also in a time Cam's career (commercial wise) was going down hill.
Jay-Z in another MTV interview:
"My thing is, it’s such an obvious ploy for attention and to get people to talk about it and for Cam to sell albums. "I’m torn…I feel like I would be stupid to even pay that any attention, because it’s such a ploy. N**gas is holding press conferences behind (the diss record). "That’s not even a good diss record. That s**t is trash. I’m torn. We’ll see what happens. Maybe on my time we’ll deal with it, but I’m not really pressed. "I’m inspired by good artistic s**t. Cam’s s**t is not artistic. “There’s nothing good about it. Everything about it is an obvious ploy to get attention. Nobody wants to get used."
Also examine the lyrics in "You Gotta Love It" its nothing new or interesting. Real hiphop heads know this.
Even NaS recognizes Cam is tryna model his Ether track.
