This is the shit I'm talking about. People have no damn idea what terms mean. They calling a nigga who played in movies that grossed 15 million, movie stars. Jesus man....

I actually agree with Jonathand here. Pac was not a "MOVIE STAR" yet. He was at best a rising star. Look at the box office:

Tupac Shakur

Date Title (click to view) Studio Lifetime Gross / Theaters Opening / Theaters

11/14/03 Tupac: Resurrection Par. $7,718,961 804 $4,632,847 801

10/10/97 Gang Related MGM $5,906,773 1,260 $2,443,237 1,260

1/31/97 Gridlock'd Gram. $5,571,205 743 $2,678,372 743

3/25/94 Above the Rim NL $16,192,320 891 $3,738,800 836

7/23/93 Poetic Justice Col. $27,515,786 1,285 $11,728,455 1,273

1/17/92 Juice Par. $20,146,880 1,100 $8,085,915 1,089

2/15/91 Nothing But Trouble WB $8,479,793 1,671 $3,966,240 1,671

Note: Titles in grey are cameo or bit parts and not counted in totals and averages.

Lifetime Gross Total (6): $83,051,925

Average: $13,841,988

Opening Gross Average (6): $5,551,271 (Wide Releases Only)

His highest grossing movie was "Poetic Justice" and that was with Janet Jackson who was way bigger than Pac in 1993 and John Singleton coming off his Oscar Nominated criticially acclaimed "Boyz in the Hood". Everything else was basically B-Movie numbers. His last two films that came out after he died "Gang Related" and "Gridlock'd" didn't even break 10 Million at the Box Office. "Above The Rim" did pretty well for it's budget but didn't gross that much. There is no doubt Pac was going to be a movie star, these movies were him getting warmed up. I'm sure Pac would of eventually been in some blockbusters but sadly his career was cut shot. At the point of his death he was not a movie star yet. There are plenty of people who have been in movies who aren't movie stars.

Actually I didn't. I provided Pacs number before jail release, Death Row/Dre and holding down a whole coast during the biggest battle of all time. You made up shit like me saying Pac never did 5 mil in 3 months (Im still waiting for you to link my words stating that) and a bunch of other random bullshit. You backpeddled saying Pac sold of classic music, then you flip-flop into "tons of musicians used controversy". Bottom line, you're a delusional Pac groupie who can't maintain a stance. It's ok, Eminem has a ton of groupies just like you....

Juice is not a classic, it's OK and the ONLY reason Everyone watched it is because PAC was In it

Actually, "Jucie" and "Above the Rim" are both "HOOD CLASSICS". As Well as "Poetic Justice", Black America co-signs all 3 films heavily. But Pac does not have a certified Classic film, no. Also I didn't mentioned "Bullet" with Mickey Rouke cause that was straight to video.

I'd put Pac's performance in "Juice" over "Above the Rim" in which he played the typical thug. "Juice" his character had more depth. By the time he got to "Gridlock'd", I could see he was shaping up to be a really good actor in the future. Unlike other rapper/actors, Pac was trained to act at a young age so he could get into character really well. But no "Above The Rim" is not better than "Juice". Omar epps, Samuel L Jackson and Pac and the soundtrack > Above the Rim (Which still had a dope soundtrack of it's own).
