this is true. it seems like every person who was on the scene major at that time were heavily influenced by calii. every where except niggas from the east obviously. and niggas from miami. say what u will about booty bass, but it was something they could call their own at the time and it was one of the few subgenres that even remotely sounded anything like southern music

Back then everybody sounded like and acted like a westcoast rapper. N*ggas from NJ (Apache, Redman) sounded and acted Westcoast czu that was selling at that time.

They didnt act like West Coast niggas. You heard their rapping style? Straight Midwest. And i guess you never been to Cleveland.

Their sing songy rapstyle was 'influenced' by Freestyle Fellowship. Bone was sounding different before they hooked up with Eazy.

Freestyle Fellowship subject matter and image was kinda intellectual and highbrow while Bone subject matter was more gangster orientated, but they're were similarities. I think Eazy had a big hand in Bone sounding like Freestyle Fellowship cuz obviously he had heard of them being from the same city.
