Bad guy>>>>>>the whole mchg

see, there are opinions

then there's just stupidity

Really? So what songs on mchg are lyrically better?

"i treat your bedroom window like i reached my full potential

i peaked"

cmon bruh

bad guy is a disappointing song once you realize its part 2 of stan. i always skipped the first half of the song just to listen to the second half, which em absolutely killed

imo saying one song is better than a whole album is laughable, but the song you chose is just ok outside of the last 2 minutes

Answer the damn question, what song on mchg is lyrically better. Don't call my opinion stupid and then stutter step like a fucking idiot when I tell you to back it up

1. your opinion is stupid

2. if i said i believe the first half of bad guy is just okay until the second half than im obviously not that impressed by it. so based on that i feel many songs on mchg are better. picasso, heaven, jay-z blue, crown, nickels and dimes, F.U.T.W., pick one nigga

3. if it'll keep you from crying, i do believe MMLP2 is the better album lyrically, although i dont feel MCHG falls completely off the map in that department

Lol Pick one? Nigga I can't none of them shits are right imo. Lol And no I'm not crying don't try to pull that "you mad" shit outta this. I just asked you to name shit that was better. You feel mchg is good lyrically good for you. I just wanted to know what made you think my opinion was stupid. I just love the storytelling of bad guy. Like I said in the mmlp2 thread I absolutely loved the way em finished the track when the beat changed. You acted like I said berzerk is lyrically better than mchg lol

to me em fell off more because i can't get through an em song. i can get through jay's songs they just aren't as good as his old shit. But to be honest can we name any rapper who released as much shit as jay did in a mainstream light and still was hot. Nigga spit through hella albums eventually you were bound to see a kingdom come and BP3 type albums which is the blaze emptyness had gems like already home and minority report.

Thats the thing we overlook when people critique rappers like jay and em is in hip hop history nobody has unanamously agree a rapper 5 plus albums in had a 6th 7th or 8th album that was more goat than their first few.

I'm a fan of both. But I don't think Jay fell off at all. I think the nigga is just more interested in the overall theme of a record and album than just bars at this point.

U can't be Hova da Gawd and not focus on your bars b. The Hip Hop coalition frowns upon this fuckery.

Actually, I can argue that Jay has been making more well put together albums recently. Most of his albums up until BA are just a bunch of great songs jumbled together that kind of just... end. Every album since KC has had a beginning, a solid end, and at least some kind of narrative. The bars may not be as sharp, but he's definitely gotten better at creating cohesive albums. Same with Em, people say he fell off but one thing I like about his new albums is that they play out like stories.

I can agree with this. I think the whole "freestylin raps" thing is catchin up to him. He's not able to be as clever/witty with that shit anymore but yea the overall direction has been better than his earlier albums.

All i know is when.im listening to any of ems new music, i have to stop Nd rewind wayyy too much to make sure i caught that corny ass punchline.. dude is all flow most of the time.. i can enjoy a jay z song.. most niggas problem with jay has been his flow with the stopping and starting shit he be doing but thats not a problem for me, long as it goes with the song.. unlike the guy tryna cramp to many words in a bar and rapping off beat..funny thing is whenever i first think a jigga verse is meh, i listen to it some time later and realize its alot better than i thought.. thats how i got into his music n the first place, the same feeling and its still there today.. i was listening to his 3 kings verse the other day and was thinking, even playing around he was going in

Ems content is redundant, production sucks, and makes corny songs that become hits. But as rap god showed fuck around and he ll body ya.

Jay-z 3 kings verse was cool, this video of his verse at 11:37 mirrors what he saying in his verse.

Yeah, Eminem should have been rapping about how rich he is for the last 15 years.

I think that's what makes Jay still sound good... he sounds like he enjoys rapping. Em sounds like he's on a mission, but sometimes it takes away from the positive energy music is supposed to bring. But that's just an effect of their mentality and what they want... Jay wants to make great music and be at the forefront of pop culture, so his music is gonna sound more fun, regardless of technical skill or lyrical content. Em wants to be a dope MC and shock people, so he's always gonna experiment and try new flows and styles, but the music might lack a little if someone doesn't concentrate on it.

Rapping about anal fucking his mother for 10 years doesn't do it for me.

Favorite Em songs, 8 mile, Rock bottom, all all of MMLP.

A lot of people are afraid of Eminem it appears. Jay fell off, but he can still ride the beat and make a track you can some what listen to.

That was one song 15 years ago. The song about her on the new album is quite the opposite.
