why would ya'll say east (just say ny don't be afraid)?

ya'll do know nyc has plugged in every movement from the west to the south east to the midwest to the south west right?

only thing is whenever we put someone on they turn it into a turf war, say they got now and fuck the east lol

bunch of rick james fuck yo couch regions

pac made it because of east coast work and love (go back to juice and above the rim days when he made it, check where that was

ice cube came out east after nwa an put out classics, i guess that was hate too

recently rick ross was given love from nyc and blew up before that he was wearing tight ass jerseys in trina videos

dj khaled, fat joe put him on

weezy and cash money were established but it wasn't until the dipset opened doors and put them on songs in nyc till they emerged to their current form (check suck it or not weezy to current. and yes that is also when gdk from philly worked with him to help him get better)

no major rap act or artist breaks big (maybe em and other caucasions) unless they get love from nyc radio and tv, 106 n park, mtv studios

so how on earth could we be close minded?

back in the 90s in houston if u were from new york wasnt gettin any love from a street perspective. if jammed anything besides a screw tape u were lame. of course niggqaz were listening to bthnh, twista, and various other rappers from the west coast got some burn, wu tang got nearly no love. niqqaz werent really messin wit outkast like that either. i say right around biggie's LAD streets of houston were more open to east coast music as long as it wasnt no mop shit. but fortunately i wasnt the closed minded type so i listen to nearly everything. one the 1st albums i remember listening to was black sheep's 1st album.

this highlights my point with all these East/South threads.. Southern posters say this a lot.. but let a East coast say Eightball got no burn in 1998 in NYC southern cats act like that wasn't true.

no lie, east is slowly becoming more open minded toward all regions since the 90's, but other coasts BEEN accepting of everything, i bet down here i can find niggas more easier who'll bump gucci mane and jay-z in the same playlist(myself included) from what ive seen with the east honestly is the guys who are still stuck on boom bap sounds, and refuse to accept anything as better than or as good as, the regional artists from their heyday (niggas saying its ridiculous for ball and mjg to be better than mobb deep and trolling and catching feelings) for example, or the guys who wanna blame south for "ruining hip hop"

If someone feels mobb deep is way better than 8ball and mjg or vice versa so what? That's their opinion but if you gonna argue with them for pages about it, I guess you caught those feelings also and no my nigga, you're not in the east so stop talking like you know what we support. We been fucking with yall music. Those 5 ny niggas you argue with for 10 pages in those ny/south threads all the time don't represent everyone in the east. That's what makes this thread so damn stupid

its really a debate, until niggas get ridiculous, and from what ive seen, its usually the east coasters who do so first, if debating is feelings, than i guess everyone on the board is a habitual catcher of those, and i never said i know wat u support, thats why i said FROM WHAT IVE SEEN

lol at the bolded. Literally every thread that these silly arguments pop up in, I highlight who and what comment starts the argument. And it is literally a southern nigga, every single time on these threads. Every. Single. Time.

It will take 10 minutes to go back to said debates and highlight the relevant comments, but the last time I did it, none of you niggas had a retort for that, except the feelings button. I challenge you niggas to go back and find a thread of NY niggas bashing music outside of NY, other then some direct retaliation of some shit said beforehand. For every one you bring me, I will show you a dozen in the opposite direction.

Not to mention, the idea of East Coast niggas being close minded to other sounds is a direct contradiction to the whole concept of the Southern Sound runnin' shit commercially at the moment. It doesnt make sense.

You were considered even cooler by the knowledgeable if you knew about K.B. & Lil Flea/Street Military.

Not only that but half the albums Screw did was full of S.P.C. & Killa Klan related shit.

The best rappers from Houston aint S.U.C.!

its like you tip toeing around the best and if I have to put us up against the best I gotta showcase the best.

K.B. Da Kidnappa#1

Street Military da best rap group!

F#ck your politics!

Kay Slay and Funk Master Flex told a story of DJing in New Orleans in 1999 at the time the biggest/hardest Tunnel/Club Banger was MOP "Ante Up" they put that on the crowd stop dancing until he put on some Luke shit. MOP pretty much east coast Crunk where niggas moshpit to they shit. Years later Crunk from ATL pops off and you got folks mosh pitting in the club.

Kay Slay broke Laffy Taffy in NYC

Houston is ignorant as fuck though. I've visited other cities, they only support their own and surrounding cities. You'll never hear about anyone else unless it's some bad news.
