Well duuuuh you stupid idiot thats what the thread is about.."at the peak of their success had the most dominant reign" of course its about popularity dummy. Fool talking about lyrically and shit. I know you one of those ol wannabe white boys who just adore underground hip-hop right?

To answer the question..50 by far.

your going off topic. this thread is not about the length of reign or consistency of reign. Its about the domination they showed during there peak. Jigga during no time frame was fucking with pac '95-'96. pac made every other rapper look small and insignificant during that period.

As far as the media was concerned there were 3 rappers in the game '95-'96.

1. Pac

2. Pacs enemies

3. Everyone else
.

lol............you right

If you factor in albums, awards, record sales, clothing lines, starting your own label, then eminem wins HANDS DOWN with his run from 1999-2003.

AUH!
Lauryn Hill has the most beautiful voice...its like an angel.

Id have to say DMX.

X did it without the controvery of getting shot or the gimmick of being a white rapper.

X crashed the game & Hollywoood like nobody since 2pac

Pac, Em, and 50 in that order.

Jay, Weezy, and Hammer's names gotta be included in the discussion tho.

^what he said. Minus the Hammer part, maybe I'm just too young or something though. Meh.

I think I know what's happened.

Once again you Americans think America is the WHOLE world haha (no diss).

Back when Hammer was big, he may have had a few songs on our t.v or radio (Australian) but that would be where it stopped, back then it was alot harder for music to spread out of the states in all forms of media. So that's why I don't think Hammer could be in that list.

Em & 50 came out and the world couldn't look at anythin produced from a media standpoint without seein Em and Fif. They were EVERYWHERE, WORLDWIDE.

The reason I say Pac though is coz its been years and years since his death but he still has a dominant reign over all things hip hop. Noone can put even the slightest effort of learnin about hip hop with out gettin slapped upside the head with somethin concernin 2pac. Let alone the grip he had on the media while he was alive or shortly after his death. He still runnin this rap shit from beyond the grave. Dominantly too.

first you said maybe it's an age thing, now you talking like you know first hand. arent you just like 22 or something? how would you remember Hammer well enough when he was at his peak? And no offense but Australia play little part in hip-hop fame. i understand now hip-hop is so big that it's global but back then Hammer was the most well known rapper in the entire world...not just in America. He played a big part in making hip-hop a global hit. Of course he was part of the downfall too. Once he added his sugar to the batch it was a wrap
