What I'm saying is that I generally hear black females saying that straight hair is good, nappy hair is bad. I never heard a dude say this though. If a dude grows his hair, it's still pretty much left natural, dreaded, or braided but not something to make it less "nappy"... unlike black females who seem to be running away from the "nappy" by straightening, perming, or whatever.

Most niggas though, that don't grow their hair out to begin with (or start then end up quitting after a month) because they feel insecure / less desirable walking around with their natural small fro.
